Help End Homelessness & Hunger in USA Especially Our Veterans!.
UHAUL answered our need with a $500.00 certificate for our church mission just this week for the donated use of a truck to gather food, furniture, clothes, appliances, building materials, tools, everything imaginable, to help us renovate homes we bought with borrowed funds from investors, that we put homeless Veterans in as "Shared Housing" to end their homelessness and then guide them to home ownership! Our only truck stalled 1 1/2 blocks from the Veterans Hospital in Philadelphia Pa on Dec 30, 2013 going to meet with the Veterans Homeless Outreach staff there to update and inform them we had homes to put the Homeless Veterans in as of Christmas day. The van would not start after it stalled. We waited almost 6 hours for a tow truck to bring our truck back to Chester Pa so we could put the starter in. When the tow truck started to unload our truck off the flatbed the tow hitch on our truck was forced into the ground stopping the truck from rolling off the flatbed. The operator then lowered the flatbed with our truck 1/2 off the flatbed, which caused the rear of the flatbed to bend the drive shaft, pulling it out of the transmission. The tow truck company finally understood how it happened and took responsibility for the damage and came back to tow it to their shop to repair it. We have been without a truck halting our missions work entirely. I wrote an email to UHaul to see if they could donate the use of a truck enabling us to continue our work of housing these Homeless Veterans. They expedited our request and had a truck in 2 days! We're taking pictures of all the things we are doing with the truck to send to UHaul so they can put it on their website and I will put them all on our websites and social network pages and groups like here on Facebook. UHaul's CEO states they help organizations that help our Veterans being Veteran Friendly. They proved it by me! Thank you UHaul for coming to the rescue of our Church Missions needs enabling us to continue our mission ending homelessness for the Homeless Veterans ending their homelessness. We have plans to expand this "Shared Housing" for Veterans through out the County, State, then Nation wide! With a company like UHaul helping us like this shows some companies strive to reward Veterans that gave their lives to fight for the freedoms we all use daily without a thought of the Veterans that were on the front lines defending the freedoms we all use and enjoy daily. We will end the homeless problem in this country as more companies join our effort like UHaul did faster. I myself was a Homeless Veteran for a period of about ten years because it took almost 15 years to fight for my social security benefits which is wrong. It happens to so many people that I'm spearheading a way to change this through government channels to expedite social security claims so people do not die because they are denied much needed benefits. This is one reason why we have almost 700,000 homeless American Veterans alone, some of which are women, that end up losing their children to child protection Agencies and can not get them back until they have a place to live. Or like another female Veteran in Camden that recently had her leg amputated and is now homeless in a wheelchair in Camden NJ, We will come and rescue you Lainey with supporters like UHaul, I just pray it's not to late with this awful winter we had. Again, Thank you UHaul Execs and the Chester Pa UHaul Staff particularly Mary that worked for almost 6 hours because of a glitch in the computer system that night they gave us the use of the truck this past Friday!

Help End Homelessness for our Estimated 700,000 American Military Veterans. We're now expanding a program which Pastor William Barhorst started over six years ago through his church mission called our "Shared Housing" program designed now with emphasis on ending Homelessness for our estimated 700,000 American Homeless Veterans, many of which are disabled. We also place others that have become homeless due to no fault of their own in these shared housing homes. The goal is to get them to become home owners which we walk them through the entire process.
Before we can move the Veterans in these homes we need to get the homes to pass city code inspections. If you're a contractor or laborer and want to help volunteer Call the Pastor. We also need volunteers to help gather the donated food, furniture, beds, (preferably twins and Bunk beds,) dishes, pots, pans, utensils dressers, dining room sets, entertainment centers, Televisions, computers, laptops, appliances of all kinds, from coffee makers, stoves, refrigerators and freezers, washers and dryers, microwaves, food processing appliances, baking pans, can openers, all kinds of games, pool tables, air hockey, dart boards, and the like, computer games and game systems, and any other items that are needed to make these houses a home for these homeless Veterans and others we help. Many of the Veterans are disabled that need other items depending on their disability to make their lives comfortable, like Hospital beds, lifting units for quadriplegic, and paraplegic Veterans, portable toilets, walkers, electric scooter carts and chairs, ramps for our vehicles to transport them and ramps on the homes need to be built also so we are creating a ramp building program and need experienced carpenters and anyone having experience in building these to put on the homes so they can access the homes in and out with their scooter chairs and carts. We also need stair glides for dwellings that have the sleeping quarters and bathrooms on the second floors which are ninety-nine percent of them.
Pastor said: "We're working closely with The Veterans Homeless Outreach programs in Philadelphia and Coatesville Pennsylvania's Veterans Hospitals. One of the officers from Coatesville said "It's about time some one is truly trying to do something to end homelessness for our Homeless Veterans." Any Veteran that is homeless can contact the Pastor for help to end their homelessness. You can help by Volunteering here in Delaware County Chester Pa, or donate any unwanted items to help set up these homes, or make a monetary Donation. We'll post pictures of the progress on our church missions website and our Facebook group pages all listed below as well as those we are helping if they sign a release allowing us to use their photos and pictures of them inside the homes when they are set up. We also need donated vehicles of all kinds, cars, trucks, Vans both passenger and work vehicles, step vans and box trucks, utility vehicles, and large trucks with lift gates which are a tremendous help to our volunteers picking up the donated furniture and large appliances to bring to the homes. We will accept any type of vehicle including motor cycles, boats, RV's, campers, buses, tractor trailers and storage containers.
We also need all kinds of office furniture and equipment.
We are striving to expand this "Shared Housing" program in all the local towns through Delaware County, then state wide, then nationwide. If you want to help expand this to your community in any state or county, contact the Pastor.
We're also seeking investors to lend money enabling us to make down payments on homes and needed buildings, which you get paid back when we obtain the mortgage with interest! If you have a home, building, or vacant land that you are considering donating call the Pastor.
