Here is the story of another luxury building that Romanians are always proud of. One of top most beautiful palaces in the country, Arad Administrative Palace currently hosts the City Hall. Designed by architect Lechner Odon and built between 1872 and 1875 this great palace became Arad's landmark. The U-shaped historical monument has a 54 m high central tower. Brought from Switzerland in 1878, its clock sings the famous Ode to Joy by Ludwig van Beethoven.

This 10-acre natural geological reserve is unique in Europe and second in the world after America. Among 80 to 100 m height walls and rare plant species, birds dug in clay dozens and dozens of holes. But what makes Red Ravine a monument of rare landscape beauty is the sculptured shapes richness. Water has dug on pebbles, quartz sands and sandstones strange reddish columns, towers, pyramids... Rainwater forms blood-red streams that swoop in deep abysses open to left and right. And towards the bridge, the tunnels dug by rainwater over time cave in enormous ditches.
Let's talk about your private tour to Red Ravine Nature Reserve !

Despite the rain outside, under the large umbrella, the flavours of smoked sausages and forest fruits syrups tantalize your senses.
Bear, deer, and boar dry sausages, wild strawberry, raspberry, underbrush, fir buds and fir cones thick syrups, cheese in fir tree bark, smoked cheese, forest fruits sherbet, honey, blueberry brandy…
The driver is quite passionate about homemade drinks.
He prepares his own elder juice, so he asks about the quantities in the recipe of this amazing blueberry brandy.
The answer surprise and make us all laughing: as many ripe blueberries and some palinca (traditional local brandy), no sugar, no any other add-ons.
Honey is another local delicacy you don’t wish to miss.
Especially the one made of acacia.
Some says in Romania you find the most flavored and tasty one.
Maybe because of the unknown natural mix of fertile soil, clean air and weather conditions.

It is true, only in some parts of the country.
So, make a healthy "cure" of fresh air.
Add the peacefulness and the marvelous landscapes.
And you will have the perfect destination to relax.
You see how easy is to turn the places with the cleanest air in Romania into unique destinations for your holidays ?

Sacel commune is famous for its red, unglazed pottery, greatly similar to Dacian ceramics due to the clay, shaping and decoration. Extracted from great depths, the used clay is of very good quality. Locals shape the objects using a wheel, then they decorate them with simple motifs. After polishing them with a stone they leave them to dry for a long while. Finally they burn the objects in the oven without glazing them.

On Bistrita River, between 1951 and 1960 communism opposers (kulaks) and militaries built Bicaz Dam. They followed engineer Dimitrie Leonida's design, as meant to be done earlier, the construction was delayed by Second World War. Both Bicaz city and cement plant appeared due to this dam. And in order to create Bicaz (Izvorul Muntelui) accumulation lake they had to move 20 villages. The lake has 33 sq km and 97 m maximum depth at dam. And now you can voyage it aboard the largest floating hotel on a mountain lake from Romania ! As regards Stejarul hydroelectric power plant, meant to provide electric energy in Moldavia, it has one of the biggest hydroelectric tunnels in the world.

Here the largest wine cellar of the city was (77,000 l). This was the only restaurant that had a beer pipe directly from the beer factory. This was in the city, behind the present Parliament Palace. You know, the descendants of the original owner Mos Ghita (Oldman Ghitza) own the restaurant. Inside, close to the entrance, you can still see his small wooden statue. Useful souvenirs wearing the restaurant logo will make your friends back home wishing they have been here.

They have a steady growing demand, both domestically and abroad. Their portfolio includes over 100 earned medals. In 2013 they won no less than 8 gold medals in famous international competitions. Mondial du Merlot (Switzerland), Mondial de Bruxelles (Belgium), International Wine & Spirit Competition (England) and ProWein (Germany).
We say: these would be great gifts !
