Are Small Businesses Better At Customer Service?

What's your take on this as a small business?
We see it all the time on shows like Undercover Boss, just how out of touch the people at the top are from what happens at the front line. From those examples it appears that there are systemic problems within many larger companies and problems are masked over by tiers of middle management who fail to report the true extent of any issues which has a direct impact on the customers. What's worse is that the more a company scales itself, the less im...

Lord's is the home of Cricket and what a fantastic place it is. So good infact, that companies hire the terrace bar for parties. My steel drum band has performed there many times and you can guess which tune is the most requested. If visiting Lord's on foot, you can easily walk to the nearest tube station (St John's Wood) in less than 5 minutes.

Fanhams Hall is one of the outstanding venues for weddings or corporate hire in Hertfordshire. My steel drum band has performed there many times. From the moment that you enter the long drive you can see that the grounds are well maintained and the building has lots of character in and out.

The Lancaster has an excellent location. Hyde Park is across the road and there is a tube station under the hotel. My steel drum band has performed there for some corporate parties during the conference season. The service is first class, as expected in a luxury hotel and they make your life very easy as a guest.

I use the Park Plaza Victoria many times as a social hangout because I like the bar area and the service is good. My steel drum band has also performed in the function suite downstairs for some corporate parties. Overall, this is a good choice of hotel as it has a very central location with a main line station around the corner and a new shopping centre nearby.

For me, the most important thing at a luxury hotel is the staff who deliver the services. My steel drum band covered a luxury wedding at the Savoy recently and they made it really easy for us. They treated us like guests, so imagine how the guests get treated. It was incredible. Also, I have to mention that the acoustics in the River Room are perfect for any live ensemble.

The InterContinental on Park Lane is a superb luxury hotel. I have had drinks there many times and dinner in the Cookbook Cafe. My steel drum band has also performed there on two occasions; one was a grand Indian wedding and the other was a private party in the conservatory. The staff at this hotel are amongst the most polite and helpful that you will find at any luxury hotel.

I like the grounds at Gaynes Park, the perimeter has the most beautiful flowers. My steel drum band covered a wedding reception there last year and it was very nice.
