The holidays are fast approaching. Pictures will be snapped and memories will be made. Most people want to put their best face forward at this time of year. That means the best smile. Teeth whitening is a popular way to get a youthful, bright smile fast. But, over-the-counter teeth whitening products are inefficient and not as effective as in-office teeth whitening. But does that take too much time? Not anymore.

But before you let your kids dig in we would like to tell you which treats are the best and which are just tricks. But, keep in mind that children can enjoy their Halloween candy without doing harm to their teeth, if they enjoy it sensibly.

Sometimes it is obvious to parents that their children will need orthodontia, especially when adult teeth erupt at extreme angles, very far apart, or are overlapping. But other indicators can be more difficult to spot because they are not as obvious as crooked teeth. In fact, the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that children visit an orthodontist no later than age seven to catch any developing problems and create a treatment plan. It is also recommended that parents keep an eye out for these common signs that could warrant a trip to the orthodontist before age seven.
