Rated the best Gelato in the world, I can see why. You won't be eating air here. The gelato is extremely creamy and holds true to the flavor you order. My favorite is the salted caramel.

From entering line to getting your ice cream -- 33 minutes. $8 for 2-scoop ice cream in a cone. Cups are slightly less, but the cup sizes are ridiculous. I would have taken a cup but I didn't spend 33 minutes waiting in line to take a child's size ice cream. It was melting within a few minutes, dripping all over my hand. I didn't find the taste to be anything great, it was on the level of Haagen Dazs. So for 33-minutes waiting in a line, and to pay such an outrageous price for child size of ice cream, I cannot in good conscious offer a higher rating. It is up to the business owner to figure out a way to reduce the line from wrapping around the block. Either expanding service at the store, or opening a second location. But waiting 33-minutes in line is a part of the score, you cannot judge the food alone.

The gelato here is amazing and definitely similar in texture and taste to the ones we had in Florence ! There were a few typical italian flavours but also many asian ones like pandan or black sesame. Would recommend this place to any gelato lover !

There's a reason Bella has won so many international awards: the Gelato has an intensity to the flavour you won't find elsewhere. Try the rosewater for something a little different. Or really, try all the flavours you don't find as typical ice cream flavours.

The gelato was so creamy and good. I had the Old Fashioned Chocolate and it was one of the best ones I have ever tried. The texture and flavour was spot-on, and even though it is on the pricier side, I would definitely come back again to try some other flavours. The waffle cone itself though was just normal; nothing spectacular about it. Overall, it was a very good experience. I can see why they have won the Florence Gelato award!

Amaaaazing gelato. Great selection of flavours to choose from. Lines can get quite long in the summer, but the wait is well worth it. They awesome make awesome gelato birthday cakes.

Paid professional bogus reviews around. After watching CBC's Marketplace, I see that these kinds of reviews are more common than I realized. My gut was right. Lots and lots of bogus reviews online. First off, this gelato, although quite flavorful is too soft compared to the gelato I had in non touristy mecas in Italy and other places. To say it's better than in Italy suggests to me that you're a paid reviewer. In the summer, Bella's gelato ended up as a milkshake not gelato as soon as we walked out the door. Inside, service was rather poor. One person took your order, the other your cash. The gelato is rushed out from the mixer into bins without any chance of setting. I am pretty sure the owner never made milkshakes for the judges that gave him accolades for his gelato. It's all about business and volume. Speaking of business, It's amazing how people are whenever they see crowds. They want to fit in. Look at the iPhone 6 on launch day. They all say the same thing because they follow the sheep. Granted, this location is fantastic and that's why even a mediocre business can do well in a great location. However, it's grossly overpriced for gelato that can be had elsewhere which is just as good TASTING or almost as good for a fraction of the cost. I give Bella's 2.5 rating. Would we recommend this place? No. Repeat? No
