North Toronto Auction Experience: ok lets not even talk about the fact that you car might turn out to need $$$$'s worth of work. I am going to give you totally diffferent reason for not buying at the auction people. I went there thinking that I will get a real deal. I mean its an auction after all right? It should be cheaper than buying a car on kijiji or auto trader correct? WRONG! Most of the vehicles have reserve prices which are atleast the real market value of the car. So for example if I can buy a Honda which is 5 years old in the market or from a private owner for say 8,000 at the auction it will atelast be priced at 8000 minimum reserve, and will at times sell for around 10,000 or simply not sell. I had expected that this same car i will be able to get for maybe about 6000? or even lessetr becuase hey if noone else is bidding I will get a real deal. I was so wrong. The simple truth is that if noone else is bidding above the price they want for it they will simply not sell it! Then bring it around in the next auction hoping some poor bidder will get cought up in the exitement. Now when you go initially to check things out it all looks great and looks like cars are selling cheap! not true, here is what you should do. Make a note of the 2-3 cars you are interested in on your preliminary trip and then go back home and look up the same make model and years on kijiji, then decide a price you want to pay for it in the auction you will see that the aution price is actuallly much HIGHER thatn what you can get for it in the market simply becuase there are so many buyers standing there ready to spend. I have tried this test run for atleast 15 different vehicles of totally different makes and models and kijiji always wins becuase the car owner just want is off his lot and will underprice it most of the time or agree to negotiate since he may not generating enough interest even at below market prices. The only thing the auction is good for a if you want a really beat up police vehicle at a really low price. Mostly crown vics with accidents. Hope this help you, dont get taken in with all the exitement of the place, do you research and put youself in the buying position and you will see that its a sham.

Form having a business out of control we now have all our finance under control. Thank you H and T for working with us and helping us resolve so many problems. H&T's handling of CRA is exemplary and the h&t difference is in their thoroughness and experience, this was clear from the way they handled problems that stumped other accountants I gave them boxes of bills and papers and they sorted through them to make sure i didn't miss any tax deductions and gave them back to me neatly organized in stacks of bound books I have been to many accountants and this is the first I have seen so thorough in maximizing my deductions while backing it up with organized audit trails they don't cut corners in the quality of their work, doing it right and on time, so that you don't have to worry about running into problems down the road They tackle jobs that other accountants find too challenging, whether it's an audit, appealing a decision from revenue canada, dealing with government debt, or just being behind a few years in filing your tax returns. Excellent work!
