Obama isn't "pro-migrant." He's simply pro-Muslim.
Too bad you're not Muslim With only a week to go in his presidency, Obama is about to end the current quasi-welcoming policy for Cuban refugees. I have no idea if this will or can be easily reversed by the next administra...

I know, I know. Quite a title. One of the "migrants" giving "testimonials" from the altar of Holy Name, yesterday, appears to be a follower of a notorious Islamic hate preacher.
At Holy Name Cathedral yesterday, to kick off National Immigration Week, Cardinal Blase Cupich had two "migrants" speak from the altar. One of them was the Syrian Muslim, Feras Shawesh. Who is Feras Shawesh? According ...

Was the Fort Lauderdale shooter, Esteban Santiago an ISIS agent? We don't know. It should be said that ISIS agents don't generally walk into the offices of the FBI and complain that the CIA is forcing them to be ISIS agents, ...

Archbishop Forte has in fact revealed a “behind the scenes” [moment] from the Synod: “If we speak explicitly about communion for the divorced and remarried,” said Archbishop Forte, reporting a joke of Pope Francis, “you do not know what a terrible mess we will make. So we won’t speak plainly, do it in a way that the premises are there, then I will draw out the conclusions.”
"And then he said: 'By the time they get wise to the whole mercy schtick, we'll be on a beach earning twenty percent.'" For reasons I don't completely understand, this news item appears to have been largely forgotten. Bu...

Here's my quick take along with an article from the New York Daily News.
Pamela Geller correctly called it a few days ago: "Color me skeptical, but the whole thing stinks, like Fulton’s fish market." Baruch College student, Yasmin Seweld, 18, claimed to have been the victim of an anti-Muslim hat...

The old cast has retired to set up baronies. It's been resurrected under the same name. But it won't be the same. That's not a knock on the new cast (which includes the show's longtime producer and another former member). It's rather a comment on the great work of Mike, Liz and Jim.
DM Mike, DM Liz and DM Jim Save or Die!, the pre-eminent OD&D and OSR podcast is dead. A few days ago on Facebook, Dragonsfoot and the OD&D Discussion Proboards, the three current members of the podcast, Mike and Elizabeth ...

+Hugh Acton & +Oakes Spalding  I'm almost always hesitant to criticize others, especially when they're doing something I don't take the time myself to do. But the unprepared podcaster is annoying, and it happens more often than you'd think. Shooting from the hip may be OK when discussing game style preferences or how you handle/house certain situations. But when it comes to speaking with authority on specifics, it's important to at least brush-up rather than simply assuming that you know things just because you've been gaming for X number of years. Maybe it had something to do with their show format, specifically the Top 5, and the requisite need to read the material in order to choose discussion points. But Mike, Liz & Jim rarely came across like they were winging it. Aside from the way their personalities gelled, that's one of the things I enjoyed most about their podcasts.

I believe all of the dead were soldiers. Three of them were women.
This is from Arutz Sheva TV. Towards the end of the video you can see what looks like at least one soldier running up to the truck's window, presumably shooting, even as others appear to flee or take cover.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was your recent article, +Kasimir Urbanski. What is the cause of something like this? Faulty storage?

Newsweek "journalist" Lucy Westcott quickly received a lot of ridicule for this. She has now disappeared from Twitter. Maybe she'll show up in two days and claim her silly article was merely an attempt to avoid trouble with her parents for missing curfew.
[Update: In the time it took me to write this, Lucy Westcott (@lvzwestcott) has disappeared from Twitter.] Yesterday, I reported on the case of Yasmin Seweid - the 18-year-old Muslima who made international headlines by claim...

Pamela Geller (and others) were of course precisely right about this.
Yasmin Seweid is expected to be charged with filing a false report after saying men took off her hijab.
