I'm almost always hesitant to criticize others, especially when they're doing something I don't take the time myself to do. But the unprepared podcaster is annoying, and it happens more often than you'd think. Shooting from the hip may be OK when discussing game style preferences or how you
handle/house certain situations. But when it comes to speaking with authority on specifics, it's important to at least brush-up rather than simply assuming that you know things just because you've been gaming for X number of years. Maybe it had something to do with their show format, specifically the Top 5, and the requisite need to read the material in order to choose discussion points. But Mike, Liz & Jim rarely came across like they were winging it. Aside from the way their personalities gelled, that's one of the things I enjoyed most about their podcasts.
