Interesting blog post commenting on Google's latest move to purchase Motorola Mobility, the mobile phone branch of Motorola. What does that mean for Android, as Google has now become a direct competitor to other phone manufacturers? Will Android stay a sort of open system, or will it become rather totally closed?
Monday, August 15, 2011. The end of Android as we know it. In my last post, I claimed the race for the mobile OSs was pretty much over. The two winning were iOS and Android, and I felt there was no ro...

This afternoon I synched my Thunderbird address book with my Googlemail addresses and deleted duplicate entries. Now all circles have been wiped clean, I have to add all people all over again. Is that feature not a bug, as I'm inclined to think? Anyon had the same experience? Help would appreciated.

Think about helping Mario to show his boss that Google+ isn't a waste of time after all, by giving a +1

I have a bet with my boss today! He thinks that using Google+ is a waste of time, not a realistic networking tool and does not see the benefit. So he has agreed to give me $1 for every +1 / comment I get. Considering I have over 500 connections I think I can get an iPad out of this. Start +1'ing this update or leave your comment! :D

Seems he not only earns enough for an ipad, but a new laptop, mobile, bike, ... Let's see the limit, if his boss is still amused to write a cheque worth a car, house, ....

Do you want to know where today's Linux distributions have their roots? I didn't know that nearly all distros are derivates of Debian, Red Hat & Slackware. There only a handful really "independent" LInux distributions out there.

Nice infographic on Google+ users, their occupation and also firms that are active on the network. It's still a rather male & geeky place. That supports my argument, that Google+ is not for your friends but for the interesting, nerdy stuff.

Ever wondered what is all behind your credit card number? It may seem random at first glance...
