Two university professors will soon be monitoring students and locals at area coffee shops, public libraries and other spots offering public WiFi in an effort to develop safer access methods for all WiFi users.

Russia will soon require everyone using public Wi-Fi spots to present their personal ID. But, is physical identification even possible for all of the available hotspots, especially in large cities like Moscow?  If you are there please tell us how this is working. Internet users in Russia won't be able to use Wi-Fi in public spots anonymously any longer. The Russian government now requires individuals accessing public Wi-Fi to present their IDs.
