This is by far the best place for self defense in the Houston area. If you really want to learn how to defend yourself and the people you love, Krav Maga Worldwide Houston is the place for you. I was originally referred to Krav Maga by a friend of mine back when I was a senior in high school on May 2012. I took the initiative on September 2012 and immediately signed up because of a confrontation I had with a co worker at my job at the time. The past three years Krav Maga has changed my life drastically. It has made me a better person, and it has made me respect people. This is real no nonsense self defense. Everything is reality based, where there are no rules and anything goes. This school is the real deal when it comes to defending your life and the ones you love in your life. Krav Maga Houston's instructors are certainly the best of the best when it comes to self defense. They are there to help you, they are there to make you physically stronger, and mentally stronger. All the Instructors have been trained extensively by Houston's Chief Instructor CJ Kirk. CJ's wealth of knowledge, his ability to teach Krav Maga is by far the best of the best. They only teach real self defense which has been proven to work under stressful situations and is proven to work in the street. Highly recommend Krav Maga Worldwide Houston to anyone who is looking to change their life.

This place rocks. Great instructors, a top notch facility, guest instructors with national and international credentials. Krav Maga is not your typical run of the mill karate dojo in a suburban mall. This style of fighting was developed for soldiers i.e. it is extremely practical and is easily learned by an average person and it keeps you in great shape to boot. Highly recommended.

Highway robbery. Do yourself a favor and just stay away. So many other gyms are far better with a NORMAL cancellation policy! After my conversation with Jason today, believe me I will be spreading the word across town like WILDFIRE about how you con people into a membership that they literally cannot get out of. I guess your reputation just wasn't worth being decent! ***edit*** After they saw this review, they called me...not to make things right, but to basically whine about my review. Then proceeded to tell me that their BS "courtesy" cancellation policy (which is anything BUT courteous) would be retracted from MY account and that I won't be able to use it, but that they would make me pay MORE now because of this review. Way to do business like a bunch of children!! All you have done is fuel my fire. You should all seriously consider taking some classes in customer service.

Greetings Lauren- You committed to us and entered into a membership term on 9/24/2014. It is unfortunate that you are not using our services as much as you had originally planned. We offered you an exit strategy in regards to you cancelling your contract early. You were not happy with our early cancellation policy. We would actually prefer that you make the time and get in here to achieve the goals that you originally set for yourself Lauren! We have walls and walls of success stories and member testimonials! We would love for you to become one of them! My door is open if you want to try and make an effort on your end and follow through with the original commitments that we discussed on 9/24/2014... Jason

Read the contract thoroughly. If you're signing up for Cross Fit then they make you take 10 "Cross Fit Essentials" classes. Good for the beginner I guess, but you're paying an insane amount of money for a membership you can't really use for at least a month. The contract is for at least six months, as well. Hassle them for a month-to-month membership if you're not sure you're in it for the long haul.

Greetings Blah Blah Blah- We are proud to say that we are Houstons largest CrossFit Program right now! We have achieved this through offering superior customer service as well as a superior product! Because we have almost 10 x's the amount of members as a regular CrossFit facility we must insure their safety! We offer the most extensive onboarding program in the Houston market (you get to attend numerous beginner classes that go over proper biomechanics and form as well as CrossFit terminology to insure once you attend mainstream classes -- you hit the ground running and don't hurt yourself)! Mr. Blah -- you must understand that the average consumer that walks through our doors has never worked out before, much less attempted multi joint, strength and conditioning Olympic style lifting. Because of this, the average person embraces our CrossFit Beginner classes! Now for those of us that are advanced, well, we can always fast track them into mainstream classes at our discretion. If you have any further questions regarding our programs I welcome you to reach out to me personally next time you are in the facility. Have a great day Mr. Blah Blah Blah! Jason

I really like the Krav Maga NOHO Crossfit. I was a member for about 8 months. I joined after seeing a coworker literally transform his body from being average to GQ model. I chose this crossfit because my coworker is super frugal and basically had done all the research for me to find the best deal. I also looked at other crossfits in the area, which were charging WAYYY more and not for unlimited classes like at NOHO but for only 3 days a week. Best price and it's a good workout. I noticed my body transform over the months and people started commenting on how I was in great shape... but then unfortunately I was in a car crash which totalled my car and caused serious spine damage from the whiplash... :/ So annoying... but I'm glad to be alive! Since I paid cash I couldn't get my money back and I couldn't keep up with the workouts anymore, but they did give me 2 months pause to see if I could get back into it. I'd love to have been able to get back into it or get my $ back, but I paid cash and I can understand how it'd be hard to give me my money back... they were really nice about the whole thing so I like them. Oh and I made one pretty cool friend while I was there. He was one of the coolest guys I've met, so I liked crossfit. Some of the other people felt a little cliquey.. mainly the people that seemed like they lived there... but I guess that's just crossfit. The other people were either quite or friendly. I really just wanted to go there to workout and get my amazing body so I didn't care too much for the social aspect, but the cool guy I met was a definite perk. The people that worked there were generally nice and responsive to my needs. Sometimes the coaches yelled at me, but it was mainly because I was doing the move wrong and about to injure myself... and if they yelled at me to move faster or something and I felt like I'd get injured I just learned to tune them out. Lastly, I want to add that I pretty much hated every single workout, but did it anyways just because I wanted my awesome body. I only enjoyed one workout because by some fluke I got the best time that day. That was AWESOME!

Amazing and Professional company. As a Veteran I felt right at home in a encouraging environment that honors our military and a staff who goes above and beyond for its members. From Josh's customer service to the Instructors motivation and direction, the 5 stars are well deserved.

I had a very strange experience when I went to check this place out. I think this might be some kind of religious group, and not really a gym. I would stay away.
Response from the owner - 2 months ago
Hello Ariel- It was a pleasure meeting you on Saturday. Rest assured we are not a religious group, nor a cult (too funny). I do however consider our employees and members to be a family, and we would love for you to be a part of it! The only thing that is required on your end (or anyone else interested in us for that matter) is the will to learn self defense and get in great shape! I wish you nothing less than success moving forward Ariel. Hopefully one day our paths will cross again! Jason
