FYI if you think going vegetarian/vegan is healthier. A strict vegetarian or vegan diet lacks essential animal proteins that carry with them the capacity for the body to absorb B vitamins. Lack in certain B vitamins can cause diseases such as B3 or Niacin leading to Pellagra, Pellagra is classically described by "the four D's": diarrhea, dermatitis, dementia, and death. B9 or Folate The human body needs folate to synthesize DNA and repair DNA. Low folate in pregnancy can lead to a baby being born with Spina Bifida or worse. And lack of B-12 can lead to fatigue, depression, and poor memory. Low Folate/B-12 can also lead to megaloblastic anemia. Animal products are not only essential to prevent these conditions, they are essential for life. Think of this when contemplating the switch. It may be valid to not eat meat for ethical reasons, but not for health. Balance is the key.
