I've been to several Indian food restaurants and this place was amazing. The flavor was very balanced in everything we ordered. The bread had a hint of garlic and too overwhelming. Best of all, the price was very very reasonable. My wife said she was coming back tomorrow night since our hotel is down the street.

Omg! It's so good the service is great. I had a question about one of the items (cholle massala) garbanzo been curry and they brought me a sample and it was absolutely wonderfull. The atmosphere was chic and upscale. The price was a little high but for normal indian food but this a is not normal it is worth every penny. The mango lassi tastes like they use fresh mangos and home made yougurt. I have cooked in Indian restraints and this is the real deal. I will be back!

Has anyone else noticed that 90% of the positive reviews for this restaurant have come from the SAME REVIEWER? My meal at Saffron could possibly be the worst meal I've ever eaten (or not eaten, as was the case there). Only my college cafeteria could have created something less appetizing. Undercooked, flavorless chicken with bland rice and a strange white sauce. The entrees ordered by the rest of my family were equally awful. The Naan was good, though. We went at noon on a Saturday, and the place was like a morgue. Go figure.

I was at Saffron Indian Bistro Tucson recently. After the lunch we made the payment and left. I forgot my purse in the restaurant. 10 mins later I realized. I immediately called them up. Somebody from the restaurant replied - "Yes I can see it. It will be up front for you". I assumed it would be at the front desk. However, when I reach there I find my purse outside the restaurant on the floor with nobody around although restaurant was still open. It was kept outside for anybody to take. I had important documents in it. This was the mannerism of the Management and staff of the restaurant despite my giving them a call about the purse and letting them know that I would be coming to pick it up. I did not expect such a rude and irresponsible behavior from them. I would like to thank the people of Tucson for their honesty that nobody took my purse. For sure, I am NEVER EVER going back to Saffron Indian Bistro.

One of our favorites. Traditional Indian food in a contemporary setting. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Gluten-free and dairy-free freindly.

I love this place, I ordered food to go and when I got home the order was wrong. I called and the owner/manager told me he was sorry and come back and he would remake the order and to just keep what we had, it was shish kabob and I had ordered lamb kabob. On other occasions we have eaten there and it was as good as being in India, the food was fresh and we'll presented. I continue to return time and again.

I love this place. Very good food and friendly staff. Food is fresh. The place is nicely decorated too. Price is a little high for a lunch buffet, but they have good food. I recommend this place.

Every time we come here, the place is dead empty - how do they stay in business? More amazing, the service and the price. The service seems to be drastically subpar, dreadfully slow and lackluster ever. single. time. Which is amazing when there's almost no one in there! For the price, the food is sky high expensive. A few pieces of meat in an admittedly delicious tikka masala sauce and a bowl of rice for two people should NOT be $60. This last time, there was a huge, manly dead fly in my friend's water and not only did it take the waiter about ten minutes to come back to our table, but he didn't even apologize. Just said 'oh' and walked away with the fly-water. GROSS. That aside, it's a little tacky inside and the chairs are really awfully uncomfortable. I doubt we'll be back. I want to love you, Saffron, but you're just awkward and gross.
