"Our Lord’s Candle"
This painting was created for my new e-book “Painting the Land of Enchantment: Lesson 1: Yuccas”. The e-book is available on Kindle at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MAU0YA4 Prints of this painting are also available at http://www.redbubble.com/people/ellietaylorart Yuccas have many nicknames and “Our Lord’s Candle” was the name given to them by the American pioneers who came to the west in the 1800s. This painting was created in the android app, Infinite Painter, on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and 10.1 tablets. #yuccas #landscape #New Mexico #ellietaylor #kindle #e-book #redbubble #androidapp #digitalpainting #digitalart #paintinglesson

Here's a painting that I just finished in the beta version. I really like the sidebar with all the major functions on it. It makes the work flow very smooth. The new blending brushes are really nice, especially the add water brush. I also like the new chalk brushes and the new airbrushes. I pretty much like everything about this new version. The only problem I had was sometimes it wouldn't switch out of blend mode when I smudged with my finger, but I just switched out manually when that happened.
There are two things that I would like to see: smoother inking brushes and bigger canvas sizes. SketchBook Ink and Zen Brush have really smooth brushes and it would be neat if the pens and calligraphy brushes could be as smooth as them. I know that stability has been an issue with large canvas sizes in the past, but I hope Infinite Painter can at least get into the 2000s for pixel size. There are a couple of painting apps right now that have large file support, but they do start to have major brush lag around 4,000 x 4,000 pixels.
