But even the teachings of the Church in its Ordinary and Universal Magisterium are infallible. Hence something like male-only ordination is infallible, even if it has not been declared so ex cathedra or in an Ecumenical Council. And the default stance of Catholics should be to accept the Church's teachings, whether or not they have been made dogmatic (irreformable).
