Caveat: Vegetarian review This place serves roomali roti. Enough said. It's a reason enough to trek 15 miles to eat at this place. There's a silver lining to it however. The roomali roti they make is excellent. But if you're from Mumbai (Bombay) you were probably expecting one made of refined white flour (maida). They use whole wheat. So while Karma's version is healthier, it also misses the spot. The dal makhani was good but not worthy of the 'hours of simmering' like the ITC Bukhara hotel. The paneer tikka will not disappoint either. I will revisit this restaurant again to expand my experience of their menu.

Absolutely love this place. There are very very few Indian restaurants that serve roomali roti. When I saw that on menu, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and the best thing was biryani. It was the most delicious biryani I've ever had!!!

I wish I could give it a zero star!! The restaurant looks more like a lobby in a house and the food is barely edible. Accommodating staff..sure! But whoever wants to have good Indian food...Please do not go there..

We had just visited this place for dinner. The place is very hopeless. The ambience & food are too bad.We ordered for chicken soup & tomato soup which were in no way authentic soups.Chicken soup had lentil soup as base & tomato soup was just a hot mixture of pungent sauces difficult to swallow down the throat .From the bar Chivas Regal was adulterated. We had to leave the restaurant without food , of course they did not even have courtesy to let us cancel our appetizers order.THE PLACE IS NOT WORTH VISITING. NOTHING AUTHENTIC INDIAN ABOUT FOOD.

Fool me twice, shame on you. Fool me thrice, shame on me. Well fortunately for me, there will be no third. Two times a charm for me here! (this is based on take out once, and dine in once) Great service, great decor, but food was quite poor. Constructive criticism: 1. Dont overcook your chicken. It was quite dry and not pleasant to eat. 2. Slow cook your curries so that the flavor actually sets into the meat. I am a cook and know what you did here. The chicken was cooked separately in a batch, rather poorly in both occasions. Then it was added to pre aliqouted curries. Tsk Tsk. Karma 3. Your restaurant says authentic. I dont know a place where authentic means fake chutneys for samosa. My chutney should not be so bright green. Is that food coloring? That is not natural, please stop adulterating my food with it. Also, do you even make your own "sweet" chutney? Or do you just buy apple chutney and severely water it down. Either way, you need help here. 4. I dont know if you remember which spices to put in the curry, but chicken muglhai calls for garam masala, cinnamon, bay leaves, amongst other things, yet all i could taste was cream and corriander, along with some yellow tumeric coloring to my fingers. Overall, your restaurant is beautiful and you guys are very nice, but authenthicity is lacking. I suppose your general population does not know much of a difference, and just love the ethnic foods, but its probably only because they know no better. If you cook indian food, this place will surely disappoint you. Mumbai bistro has more flavorful food than this. Either way, this will be my final attempt at this restaurant.

We ate this place while on vacation from Houston. We had paneer butter masala and Mali kofta which were both excellent. We ate "Indian slicy" I and it was perfect. This is not your average Indian food.
