Really not worrying too much about Google Plus these days, except that its presence still makes using the Google Search Engine somewhat more difficult than it used to be (i.e., getting rid of the "+" operator).

Maybe Verizon ain't gonna get away with the $2-for-paying-your-bill-certain-ways idiocy after all. First off, FCC talks about an investigation...

...and now there is word that VZ Wireless, at least, is dropping the idea altogether:

Dec. 29, 2011 - Ever since online payments really took off, companies have been pushing for you to opt out of paper billing. The excuses were that it cost a lot to do, and

I see on Twitter that lots of folks whose opinions I respect are calling last night's World Series game a "classic." While it obviously was a heartbreaker for my biased self, I have to agree. Strategy, drama, weird plays, heroic feats (especially by injured stars), comebacks galore, and ultra-tense extra innings -- while Game 6 of the 1975 Series remains The One Against Which All Others Must Be Compared, 2011's Game 6 will be remembered as one of the best. With the obvious exception of all the inexplicable errors by both teams, this was a baseball fan's dream game. ... And this bleary-eyed Rangers fan hopes Game 7 will also be similar to its 1975 counterpart -- meaning the visitors who lost Game 6 on an extra-inning home run will bounce back and take home the title.

Or, as I put it 'way more succinctly on Twitter:

Best #worldseries Game 6 ever was 1975: Visitors lost on extra-inning homer. Visitors won Game 7. Hoping for repeat tonight.

This is kinda techy but you iOS users will find it helpful since, as the guy says, he's refuting a lot of inaccurate info out there:

Realized I forgot to mention here on +, as I did on Facebook Sunday (after my kiddo did so first), that our daughter Sarah became engaged on Sunday, 10/23, to Brad Beck, who's been her boyfriend since their junior year at Plano Senior High. No date set yet.
