When you think about an army and soldiers, your first thought might be about war. Soldiers fight wars, right? But the reality is that soldiers do so much more, especially in Israel. Here, they are an integral part of our soci...

A human being is capable of being at any level, from the loftiest to the most base. Chana prayed for a normal son - and Shmuel HaNavi was that normal son.....so how normal are we then? (HaGaon HaRav Nissan Ahron Tucazinsky zt'zl). This Rav also said: some people fear making a sin because they will be punished; others because it is not nice to sin; still others because Hashem forbade us to sin...and he added: I fear making a sin because Hashem said "I am with you in your suffering," and if I sin He will make me suffer and I will bring Him down to be with me in my suffering - I don't want to sin because I don't want to cause Hashem to suffer with me when He has to punish me .....
If we don't want Hashem to have to punish us for our sin or the sins of our or previous generations which are are still being made, let us once again, with all our hearts and souls, accept the Torah on Shavuot, and really begin "to do and to hear" Hashem's advice in the Torah on how to avoid  or repent from sin and thus eliminate the suffering of this world!

What Religion Are We?
A Child asks his mother...and this is the answer I would offer...
Apparently, this is a question asked by a child of his mother. I don't know what she answered him. None of my children ever asked me this question. They have asked me what month we are in...in fact, when my oldest son first g...

This was simply the most inspiring column about the Jews and our ancient homeland of Israel with our eternal, undivided capital of Jerusalem that I have read in decades.

As a journalist who has written thousands of columns in support of our beloved Jewish state, and as the Head Editor of a well known international news website, I read the content of dozens of mainstream media outlets every single day,, and I find the vast majority of the coverage of Israel to be appalling and fundamentally dishonest. From constant lies, misleading headlines and photos of violence taken in other parts of the world labeled as Israeli violence on the Falistinians to outright Jew hate and propaganda designed to incite violence against Jews around the world, the mainstream media has become an ally of all those who aspire to finish what Hitler started.

Finally, out of this forest of filth and Jew hate, Paula Stern has restored my hope in our people, the Jews. Her words should be read in every classroom in Israel, and from the podium of the Knesset by the Prime Minister of Israel. Then, perhaps, we can begin to honor HaShem's promise to the Jews, and become one people, united and restored from all the corners of the earth to our Promised Land.

As Shavuot is now less than three days away, I will honor Ms. Stern's words of truth with the words of Ezekiel.

"Thus saith the L-rd G-d; I do not this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake... and the nations shall know that I am the L-rd. For I will, take you from among the nations, and gather you out of the countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean... A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you... And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your G-d."
