So sad that the government is still promoting cutting back on saturated fats and the ingestion of grains. 


Saturated fats are essential for cell membrane health and hormone regulation (as long as they are the right type of saturated fats such those found in avocado, olive oil, coconut oil etc...) 


Grains are just super carbs that turn to sugar 3-4 seconds after they hit the tongue.  They cause insulin to spike and drive inflammation at the cellular level, not to mention the damage they do to the gut. 


They didn't recommend cutting back on processed meat probably because of their ties to the FDA who are not really our friend.


Organic meat is fine if it is grass fed beef and or poultry free of antibiotics and pesticides. 


I find my clients do best on a  diet consisting of organic grass fed meat and dairy.  A diet high in good saturated fat, moderate in clean protein and very low carb.
