Family Support Circle, Inc. would like to extend a welcoming hand to our new partnership with WIGZ Across America!
WIGZ Across America’s mission is to provide wigs for children that are unfortunately suffering hair loss due to cancer and/or other hair loss conditions. Not only that, but they also provide various mentoring programs to these children, have self-esteem booster awareness camps, communicate with various places to receive referrals for children in need of the wigs, and do what they can to work against the bullying that may take place for these kids. Self- Esteem plays a big part in what they do, and they believe that everyone is beautiful no matter what condition they may have! And that is completely true!
They serve children from ages 5 to 23.
Please help us welcome such an amazing company!! We are so excited to partner with them and help fulfill their mission! Please keep an eye out for updates on events and news with them! Welcome to the family WIGZ Across America!! :)

Any questions? Feel free to contact us directly here at FSC or Mo’Chic Angels on social media @mochicangels

SPOTLIGHT ON OUR NEW STAFF!
Meet one of our new After School Coordinators at our Alexandria Landing location, Ms. Tamika Jackson! Born and raised in New York, she fell in love with Atlanta after only a few visits...Needless to say, she is quite the traveler! To prove to you how much she loves to travel: she has been to well over 8 countries, lived an entire summer in China, and has been to Belize(where her best friend is from) multiple times!! Wow!! Because of all the travelling, she just so happens to be a big foodie and LOVES ethnic food! Her favorite is Ethiopian! She is a free spirit who is passionate about people, cultures, and language! And she enjoys spending her free time with her two sons and five grandkids!
We are so excited to bring Ms. Tamika on board to be a part of FSC! Please help us welcome Ms. Tamika Jackson!

APRIL IS AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH!
Here are some quick facts:
1. One percent of the world has Autism
2. 1 out of 68 children have Autism (most common in boys)
3. Eugen Bleuler (psychiatrist) coined the term "autism" in 1908.
4. About 40% of children with Autism do not speak.
5. Currently, there is no cure.
6. No two children with Autism are the same:the spectrum implies that every child has differing levels of skills, strengths, difficulties, and needs

Don't forget the impact that family has. Below is the link to resources for families with autism playing a big role in their lives.
