In this episode, Radio Dwarka invited Panipat-based Amit Goyal, who is the proprietor of Ace Wealth Solutions, to know more about debt fund. "I landed in this business more by chance than choice. I completed my graduation in 1999. I come from a business family that deals mostly in textiles. I love meeting people. So I started another business, this time mobile wholesaling. But it was hectic, and I exited after some years," he said reminiscing his journey over the last 14 years. After leaving the mobile business, he came in touch with a man who introduced him to the stock markets, shares and various funds. "I realised that people used to invest in funds to make quick gains, but in haste, ended up incurring losses. It was worrisome. I started exploring and studying and analysing it more. In 2002-03, I finally ventured into this business." He found it tough to convince people to try this form of investment. But people started realising the worth of mutual funds and slowly their investment portfolio started increasing. "It was a matter of time. Initially, they were hesitant to invest even Rs 5,000, but once they came to know of the returns from mutual funds, they started investing more. The popularity increased mostly on the trust factor." Listen into know more about debt funds.

Radio Dwarka recently attended an investor awareness programme organised by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) at a government-run girls' school in Matiyala, Dwarka.
Those who participated in the programme comprised students belonging from the commerce stream of Class 12. They seemed enlightened to know the various saving measures such as Mutual Funds, SIP and briefed them about financial terms such as Stock Markets, etc. The students asked questions and benefitted a lot from the interactive session.
"Our students know about these financial terms and concepts. But now on, they will invest money, wisely, slowly and thoroughly," said Nutan Taneja, a teacher, speaking about the biggest takeaway for students from the programme.

In the 13th Episode of the programme, Radio Dwarka invited Wing Commodore KL Kapoor (Retd.) to know more about his illustrious journey in the Air Force and life post retirement.
Born in Gujranwala, Pakistan, his family moved to Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, India after Partition; he started his life from scratch here. He stayed in huts in the refugee camp along with his brothers and parents, and it was hard to make ends meet during those days. A brilliant student, he wanted to continue his studies, so his father sent him to study in Jabalpur, and he completed his engineering from the Jabalpur Engineering College in 1967 and joined the Air Force as a pilot officer in 1968. He served his first posting in Kanchrapara, Bangladesh.
"I am privileged to have served the nation during 1971 War," he said.
He served at the Air Force Station in Vadodara in Gujarat, Surajgarh in Rajasthan, Halwara and Ludhiana in Punjab, and Vayu Bhawan in New Delhi. Kapoor took premature retirement in 1993.
He has two sons both of whom are well settled; he is blessed with four grandchildren.
Today, he is actively associated with Bal Vihar Children's Home in Sector 1, Dwarka, as Director. "There are 25 orphans who stay here. We take care of them, their food, education and even their wedding."
Apart from this, Kapoor is also associated with Sadhu Sunder Singh Welfare Society, RWA Defence Enclave Tajpur Goyla Khurd, and SW Delhi Ex-Servicemen Association.
As a soldier, he lives for Sarvajana Hitaye and loves to serve the society and make a difference in the lives of the common people.
