For 2 decades I was developing and dog feeding a Rapid App Design tool. Realized only a few days ago I found a way to modify an Application DB Schema to execute it directly.
Means a "boxes-and-lines" schema will run itself instantly. As you make changes it accepts it immediately - works more like an interpretor.
The technology is not trivial. My present implementation has a server- side interpreter, a client- side interpreter, builds front-ends automatically, real-time synchronizes content on all running clients and serves as a SaaS platform.
Considering wide usage of DB tables templates it is possible to say that a complex data driven Rich Internet Application could by developed is under a minute. Just drag those lines between those boxes.
The best comparison is from construction industry:
say I have a machine(3D printer?) which builds real-size houses is under an hour. With all the hydro and piping included. Ready to decorate and furnish (which represents a "custom" programming on the App). Building and rebuilding is pretty much free. There are no restrictions on the size and the style of a buildings supported.

Now the good question is - what do I think about it? And if somebody occasionally reads this - what do You think about it?

I'm basically replacing old good imperative SQL with declarative App definition. Something from Data Web?!

Back to my silver mines...
