This is an elegant small restaurant, good for a romantic dinner. They have fabric partitions between tables so it feels intimate. The food is very good. The prices are on the high end but on par for this quality of restaurant.

The pot pie is fantastic, the service is fantastic, and they are great for groups. I would also recommend the fried greenbeans.

Food is acceptable, but lunch portions are meager for a minimum of ten dollars. Place is dark inside to "set the mood", but i can see a layer of filth beneath it. Bartender was an Idiot whom didn't grasp the concept that we needed to know which bill we were paying on split orders before we gave him our money. Not to mention he had to stop and take a sip of his beer between transactions. Also pretty sure the parking spaces are not to code as my normal full size truck extended over both line width wise. Honestly its a whole in the wall with dressed up food to validate overcharging and actually fits with the modern day filthy paseo district. Have fun eating who knows what.

It is never a wrong decision to pick Paseo Grill as your preferred dinner or lunch spot. The restaurant almost always satisfies you with its great selection of dishes that are prepared to your highest expectations. Let's start by saying though, if you came to this restaurant in order to be blown away by fantastically innovative creations or an experimental flavor, this is not a place for your adventurous side to emerge. A glance on the menu will reveal dishes like shrimp cocktail, fried green beans, salads, and many simple grilled steak or fish dishes served with some common sides. Everything on the menu points to the restaurant playing it safe. If there was any item on the menu that was slightly creative, it would be the lobster and crab cake, which for the price you only received one fist sized cake nicely plated but gone way too quickly. However, this safety is not a negative for the establishment; in fact, this allows the kitchen to send out some of the most well prepared meals I have experienced from restaurants. My order of Maple Leaf Farms duck breast was done in a raspberry bourbon sauce cooked medium rare, a typical preparation bar the bourbon replaced with wine or removed entirely. The taste of the dish however could not be downplayed, as each bite melts in your mouth in pure rhapsody complemented by the sweet sauce it sits on. A taste of their surf and turf dish sings the same swan song, as it is cooked to a perfect medium rare with a tender scallop on top that matches the steak's dance beat for beat. While Paseo Grill plays its menu very safe, expect to be surprised by the quality and flavors of any dish that is brought to the table. The masters can take the familiar and add new light to what you've already come to expect. Pros: +Well prepared dishes, friendly service, romantic setting sure to please 99% of dates Cons: Safe choices don't bring out the Indiana Jones in you Neutral: Confined, curtained, and dimly lit booths may either be a plus or surely bring out the claustrophobic in you

Table was ready at reservation time. The food overall was good. Service was not great for the amount of money spent. I tried to speak to the manager about it and he was rude. It was my birthday and we had a party of 10. I had been previously and thought it would be a great place to go as several others in my party had not been. We requested bread several times and did not receive any until we were almost done with our meal. The chicken pasta meal was bland, as well as was the spinach. Can't say I will be going back. I also email the restaurant about it and did not receive a response.

Needless to say, this place would have gotten all good marks from me, had I not gotten food poisoning from the meatloaf. Having come from Seattle, I've experienced food poisoning so many times before to recognize it immediately(It is always from a ground beef product in my experience) The service was great and the place looked good. The mushroom soup was excellent, as was the Creme Brrule we had for desert afterward. Even the ratatouille was pretty good. Alas, the meatloaf tasted all right, though not stellar. I wonder though, if that wasn't because proper food safety measures weren't used with it. Overall even though I liked the place I wouldn't go back there. It's hard to forgive a restaurant that has you locked in your bathroom for the night and next day after eating there. .
