Are there any MMOs set in a future, dystopian world/universe?

Two I can think of off the top of my head are:
Fallen Earth - http://www.gamersfirst.com/fallenearth/
and
Xsyon - http://www.xsyon.com

Haven't gotten around to either yet, despite meaning to.

Disappointed customers buy 4 million iPhone 4s units over the weekend. Vow to keep buying "until Apple gives us what we want." #punditryfail

Am I the only one who finds it odd (and a little sad) that there are now FF groups on both G+ and Facebook?

Am I a Luddite if my primary objection to Google Glasses is that they make you look like a complete dork?

I don't think so. Some of us can't escape looking like dorks so - so the equation is, dorkiness with augmented reality or dorkiness without. I'm gonna go with AR - but then again - I would.

Molly Wood is so full of shit.

[LOL - she trolled me almost a yr later - I'm such an Android lover - it isn't fair to call her dishonest a year after she wrote her article.]

I've never had a bad experience with Android - but I've always purchased the top tier phone(s).

My Smart Phone history
Palm OS Visor Platinum w/ cell phone module > Palm Treo > WinMo phones > iPhone 3g > iPhone 3gs > Samsung Galaxy S I > Google Nexus S > Google Galaxy Nexus

It is unfair to compare Apple's product line w/ every Android phone out there. That would be the same as comparing a shitty Windows netbook to the MacBook Pro.

If you purchase the Google Nexus line of phones, you don't have to worry about fragmentation.

And if you are tech savvy - and you own an Android phone - you don't have to be held hostage by the carriers that refuse to upgrade the phones.

This is where Molly Wood is being dishonest: Android has nothing to do with the fragmentation. It is the phone makers and the carriers. She knows that and still she somehow blames the OS. She also knows that anyone can avoid the trap of no OS updates from carriers/phonemakers - but rather than tell people how - she trolls with idiotic headlines. edit: I could see how she could have this perspective honestly last year.

If you like your iPhone - awesome. Just know - that what happened to Apple with PCs is already happening with phones. Android is dominating the market share of smart phone OS - much like Windows almost put Apple out of business.

Android is also poised to be the dominant embedded OS of TVs, smart displays, cars, home automation - et cetera. Geeks and makers are already doing DIY projects with Android to automate and "smartify" their lives. The closed nature of iOS misses out on this ground swell of enthusiasm and support.
