Need Help With...  -

I am trying to install Encompass360. I keep getting an error pertaining to the Visual C++2005, that it can't install that component, but I already had it on my machine, so it makes no sense. I even tried uninstalling my Visual C so the software could install its own, still with no luck. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I'd uninstall all Visual C++ Redistributables that you have installed, restart the computer, clean up ROOT C: and D: drives from potential previous VCREDIST install files (those used to be left right on the root drives) and retry again.

Also are you an Admin user and UAC is disabled?  Is your computer in a domain which has some kind of restrictions on what users can do or what software can be installed?  UAC can cripple stuff just as Group Policies in domains.

Are you giving up your privacy by simply surfing the web?

An orchestra in Paraguay adds new meaning to the old adage that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

It is called the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, and all of its instruments are largely made from trash: violins fashioned from oven trays; cellos from oil barrels; and saxophones created out of old drain pipes. Bob Simon reports, tonight: http://cbsn.ws/1gAT1sV

What does your online activity say about you? A lot, it turns out. “Data brokers” are analyzing your activity and collecting information such as your sexual orientation, political affiliation and medical problems. The information is packaged and sold to third parties without your knowledge. Steve Kroft reports, Sunday: http://cbsn.ws/1lFIjCl

“Only 30% of companies outlive the founder or move to a second generation. And only 12% of companies actually make it to the third generation. So for us to be the fifth generation and still be doing this is a much smaller subset, I'm sure,” says the CEO of Tabasco: http://cbsn.ws/1cOke9j

I am feeling a bit amiss. While my service is great, I am having another sort of problem. I purchased two iPhone 5s - one for myself and one for my daughter, with the agreement that I would get $200 credit for trading in EACH of our old smart phones. A week later I received the codes to obtain the credit. 4 or 5 times I have attempted to go online and input the codes to get my credits. Each time it gets me right to the last page and then defaults to an error screen. Today I attempted one last time, and the website just kept hanging up, and stalling. I decided to try it on my iPhone, and it does not show the field to input the codes and tried to process my credit for only $1. I am beginning to think this credit thing is a scam. I have screen-shots of the error messages, AND where it was going to give me the $200 credit. This is bait and switch, and it is outrageous!
