Hurtigruten Get Ready to Explore 2019-2020

A Day In The Life Of A Polar Explorer
Every hour is filled with spectacular sights and sounds. You’ll experience sensations that will stay with you forever. Like the exhilaration of walking among 10,000 fearless penguins. Or the excitement at sighting the powerful tail of a whale up close to the ship. Or the pure joy of seeing majestic blue-white glaciers as you glide past in your kayak.

Your Basecamp At Sea
The Hurtigruten fleet is designed to excel as your basecamp at sea.
Hurtigruten’s onboard facilities are carefully thought out to ensure that you have a great holiday, whether you are taking in the breathtaking scenery from the deck, enjoying a beverage in the lounge, or relaxing after unforgettable explorations.
Hurtigruten’s cabins are fitted out with elegant Scandinavian touches and comfortable bedding that provide a good night’s sleep after your day’s adventures are complete. Their explorer ships offer welcoming lounges with spectacular views and comfortable cabins to create the perfect setting as you glide through some of the world’s most beautiful scenery.

Polar Inside
Hurtigruten’s cosy Polar Inside cabins can be found on all ships (with the exception of MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen). All cabins include bathrooms with shower/WC. Most of the cabins have separate beds where one doubles as a sofa, while some are equipped with a double bed or upper and lower berths.

Polar Outside
Hurtigruten’s Polar Outside cabins are situated mostly on middle or lower decks, and all have bathrooms with shower/WC. Some have double beds, others offer separate beds (where one is a sofa bed) or upper and lower berths.

Arctic Superior
Relaxation and comfort are the hallmarks of Hurtigruten’s Arctic Superior cabins. Situated on both upper and middle decks, they all have bathrooms with shower and WC. They are also equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities. Most of them have separate beds, where one doubles as a sofa, and some have double beds.

Expedition Suites
The most exquisite cabins on the ship, Expedition Suites feature luxurious amenities such as private balconies and Jacuzzis, as well as large windows (often from floor to ceiling), that afford spectacular views. These upper-deck suites include separate Suite Check-in, a welcome gift with greeting from the Captain, seating area with TV, espresso maker, and in-cabin continental breakfast available upon request. The comfortable and stylish suites feature bathrooms with shower and WC; most are furnished with double beds, complimentary beverage for lunch and dinner, soft drinks, beer and wine by the glass. In addition, you can enjoy an Arctic Pure amenity kit and an onboard copy of Norway’s Coastal Kitchen cookbook in English to browse through on your voyage.

At Aurora Expeditions, they offer a wide range of adventure activities, from ascending rarely trodden peaks in Antarctica and Greenland, to sea kayaking among porpoising penguins and seal pups, and much more.
