The Acumatica Financial Management Suite is sold stand-alone and as part of a broader ERP suite that includes distribution and manufacturing capabilities along with CRM functionality. The solution is designed for midmarket customers and deployed in the Acumatica public cloud, run on Amazon Web Services, or a private cloud of the customer's choice (either on-premises or at a hosted facility). Acumatica focuses on cloud rather than on-premises delivery, and the majority of its customers use the public cloud service. It also provides a cloud development platform, Cloud xRP Platform, that has many of the capabilities of a platform as a service.

Acumatica is a Visionary in this Magic Quadrant due to its focus on cloud, the flexibility of xRP to support extension of the delivered functionality by partners, and good core financial management functionality for midsize organizations. However, limited market awareness and a broader suite focus limit Acumatica's Ability to Execute in this market.

STRENGTHS

Acumatica has a strong focus on midsize organizations and a partner strategy that is well-suited to that market segment, enabling it to serve multiple industries and geographies.

Acumatica scored slightly above average in customer satisfaction. Reference customers cited ease of use and the speed at which accounting users were able to start using the solution with minimal training. Core ledgers (GL, AP and AR) were also rated above average by users.

The wide range of APIs available coupled with the flexibility of the xRP platform and range of partner apps means that the Acumatica Financial Management Suite is well-aligned to Gartner's vision of postmodern ERP.

The benefits of the Cloud provide tangible business benefits in “operating costs, schedule compliance and on-time delivery”.  Aberdeen reported that the average improvement of profitability over the past two years for midmarket companies that are not in the Cloud was 9% profitability improvement. However, midmarket companies who were Cloud-enabled reported a 17% improvement in profitability over the past two years. http://bit.ly/1MoByS5

A key metric source in Acumatica is the important intersection of customers and the orders they place. This order management capability also allows sales people to work a deal through the pipeline, right through to the actual close, allowing their management to see recorded orders in your forecast, greatly increasing its reliability, predictability and accuracy. Thus, the "actuals" information in “forecast vs. actual” reports is based on real sales data.
Some of the reports availables on the cloud are:
• Sales by Sales Rep analyzed by Sales Period
• Forecast vs. Budget
• Forecast versus actual by Sales Rep analyzed by Class, Department or Location
• Forecast versus actual by Item (Product or Service)
• Sales Pipeline (Projected and Weighted) versus actual by Sales Rep
• Pipeline By Status analyzed by Sales Period
• Open and Closed Opportunities
• Won and Lost Opportunities
• Sales-to-Pipeline ratio
• Sales by customer segment

Can you fit ERP in your pocket? Absolutely. Mobile ERP is not about letting you send invoices while you are waiting for your next flight. It is about making the truly, role-specific, information available when you are away from your desk. # 1 Cloud ERP in the market

The vast majority of new ERP customers (85%) still prefer On-Premise ERP solutions.
NetSuite can only appeal to 4% of ERP customers.
Acumatica, on the other hand, is in a unique position in the market to appeal to 100% of ERP customers.
Acumatica is also in a unique position to appeal to partners who want a modern ERP product in their portfolio, but aren’t ready to adopt the Cloud and the culture that comes with it.
Bottom line, with Acumatica your deployment options are a two-way street. You can go to the Cloud and beyond, or easily come back to the comfort and stability of earth again.

Acumatica Cloud ERP is another compelling reason for smaller businesses, those without IT people on staff, to move to hosted software-as-a-service solutions offered by #Acumatica , and take both the threat of cyber-attacks, and the risk of having no usable data backups, substantially out of the picture.
