1 inch round black ROCK in my plate of clams!!! And all they said was "We apologize, the food is fresh and we missed to see it". It was as big as a clam!! Overrated, Expensive and Definitely not worth it!

My wife and I went to try this restaurant after reading the good reviews for our anniversary and I was impressed from the time that we were greeted at the door. Parking downtown is always a challenge when you are from out of town and they directed me gladly to either the valet ( $7) or 3 hour complimentary parking, which was needed. We were sat down at our table and greeted by one of the best servers I have ever had. Her name is Jessica. She informed us of the specials and got us a drink to start and we looked over the menu which is appealing to all tastes. We had clams appy to share, crab bisque and maytag blue cheese salad to start, cedar planked salmon and parmesan crusted halibut for our main. All of it was divine. Can not say a bad thing about any part of the meal. We were never rushed and Jessica (our server) allowed us time between each course to savour and enjoy ourselves which I find rare these days. I would like to thank the staff at Seastar for one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. They were AWESOME!!!!! We will be stopping in again next time we are in Seattle. This is definately a must if you would like an elegant dining experience.

Last night's dinner at SeaStar prompted a discussion of how you react when the service makes you cringe. Saturday night in an area busiest on weekdays means the service should be accommodating and slow. I know the waiter was trying to be personable, but forcing breaks into our conversation to top up water and other things that aren't urgent isn't good service on a quiet night. Neither is putting on a terrible Italian accent. I wonder if he realized one of the accents at the table was French. Food-wise: delicious and well worth the high prices. Good sized portions, fresh, and well prepared. The creme brulee was a little curious, but I didn't read the menu description. It arrived in two small ramekins, one with traditional vanilla custard, the other had a heavy hazelnut custard that was more mousse. Kind of yum, but unexpected.

Seastar has among the best staff I've ever encountered and the food is great as well. Our party had symphony tickets and thus had a cutoff time, which they were more than happy to respect and move things along quickly. They were also superb with the recommendations. The spice rub salmon was fantastic and tasted like a fine steak with just a little tang. It paired well with the food beer selection they had, though the wine menu is also exquisite. The noodle appetizer was also sublime and nice and spicy. Fantastic service and food from one of Seattle's best in seafood.

One place where you get amazingly fresh sea food. The ambience is nice. This place gives a feel that you are in an historic restaurant which it is. Very pleased with the service. The choice of beers is very apt with the food which they serve.

Delicious seafood and impeccable service. Very fresh oysters and great happy hour menu such as halibut ceviche and Thai seafood salad. I have a great time whenever I go to this place. A must-try restaurant in Seattle.

Solid raw bar! I asked the sushi chef for her recommendations. I had the Uni, stellar. The sockeye salmon nigiri, killer. Both items off menu. She made me a sweet hot roll of her own creation. I was Treated as I was the only one at the sushi bar.
