My wife and I are staying in tahoe for the week so we decide to stop by and have some mexican food for dinner at the blue agave its not as we expected it to be we got sat down by the younger gentle man who was really kind to us after we got sat down we got drinks the margaritas were amazing after we order our food the waiter came by every 20 minutes and he was always on his phone on the front counter we also had to get up our selfs and get some napkins because the waiter (Arturo) was watching the television in all the service was terrible and the waiter is garbage if you want great mexican food try La Mexicana 20 minutes from the blue agave.

The Carnitas are the worst anywhere. The place stinks like old bar, even with all the windows open. The owner disputes this fact publicly, but it still stinks. His "brother" who is helping him can't take an order, he messed with the computer for 20 minutes before he called a waitress to take our order manually. Then he said we could enjoy chips and salsa in the bar while we waited for our to go order. The table he sat us at was filthy. The chips stale and the salsa dismal. Never again no matter what the owner refutes, this place sucks.

Waiter did not come back to the table for at least half and hour at a time. Worst place I've ever been to for this price. Apparently never sit outside. No refills offered, no additional napkins offered, and gratuity was added for the ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE.

I was not impressed with the service or the quality of food. I got Tacos veracruz and the fish was OK, nothing special, and the the steak taco was literally just a pinch of crumbled steak with melted cheese... No onion, no pico, very bland. My wife got the steak fajitas and like my steak, hers was very flavorless, no seasoning. I am not a chef, but I could cook steak, onion and bell pepper with more flavor for less than $15. Do yourself a favor and just go to Rubios or Chevys and save some money.

Very good food! Exceptionally good tequila and draft beer.

Salsa has oregano which throws off the flavor. It is not spicy and has little flavor. Adequate seating is available for 10 people. Enchiladas, fajitas, & chile rellenos are good. No homemade tortillas, but they are good also. Refried beans are dry and not the greatest so opt for the whole black beans. Tablecloths might be a nicer touch. The table seemed a bit dirty. Burgars are large, made to order (medium rare, medium well, or well done), served on a grilled bun with your condiments on the side, & tasty. Wait time wasn't too long. Service was descent.
