Check out the translations stats for your language!

I spent some time with stats this morning and the Ubuntu Translations stats site is now live again with data from 12.04, 13.10 and Trusty Tahr. It provides a more focused view for translators on which are the most visible translations that need work, and a more accurate figure of how well a release is translated than the figures for all translatable Ubuntu packages in Launchpad.
Ubuntu releases. Pick a release to find out how well translated it is. Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty) · Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy) · Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise) · More information on these statistics • Found a bug? Report it! • Last update on.

Time to translate Ubuntu on the phone!

Help us making Ubuntu available in your language on phones, tablets and everywhere!
It’s going to be one of the most exciting years in the history of Ubuntu. We’re seeing innovation and stunning work across the board, and a huge momentum and interest from OEMs and carriers to ship a phone with Ubuntu, with a already a confirmed partner. Daniel Holbach had a quick look at the statistics of the #Ubuntu #Development guide #translations: http://is.gd/nfYLuq
Sébastien Bacher told me I was a bit obsessed with Ubuntu Packaging Guide translations and maybe I am, but I do believe that we're thus eliminating one blocker on the way of people becoming Ubuntu developers. Looking at the level of completion of translations of the packaging guide (or Ubuntu ...

Hi Translators,

Just a heads up that new translatable strings are now available for all Ubuntu Touch apps. In particular:

- The .desktop files are now translatable, adding a few extra strings to all templates
- The Camera and Share apps are now translatable

You'll find all translatable templates here:

    https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-touch-preview     https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-phone-coreapps

For those of you with a device running Ubuntu Touch, here are the
instructions to change the language and test translations:

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/ReleaseNotes#Language_and_keyboard

Happy translating!

Hi Translators,

Some more Ubuntu Touch apps have now been set up for translation.

The Weather app:
    https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-weather-app

The Media Player app:
    https://launchpad.net/mediaplayer-app/

The Gallery app:
    https://translations.launchpad.net/gallery-app

Remember that until they've been added to Ubuntu proper, you can see all Ubuntu Touch apps up for translation here [https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-phone-coreapps] and here [https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-touch-preview].

Happy translating!

Three weeks until release, help translating the phone in your language!
Translate Ubuntu on the phone. As the rest of Ubuntu for the desktop, the phone and tablet UI is translatable via our collaborative online translation interface: Launchpad. Generally all of Ubuntu is translatable here, but for the phone, and until we start unifying the infrastructure on our road ...
