It's Tuesday, Nov. 22, and I just got an e-mail sent on behalf of University of California President Mark G. Yudof (sent at 2 a.m. my time). "Dear University of California Supporter, I'd like to share with you two messages from University of California President Mark G. Yudof in response to the recent events on some UC campuses," it begins. It ends: "Clearly, these are challenging times for our state, our students and our entire university community. We will continue to keep you apprised of developments as they occur. In the meantime, and on behalf of President Yudof, I thank you for your continued support for the University of California." So -- how many days have gone by? This is how the University of California reaches out in hopes that contributions don't dry up in light of this scandal? Really?
