Library Bar is a downtown Los Angeles Bar and Restaurant. We have tasty food, the coldest beer in DTLA, and fine cocktails.

I don't know that I would want to come here late night on a weekend, because if that's so, then I'd to expect to be standing hip to hip with all the other strangers in there. Not feeling that, but that was the case during my recent visit. The trick is to make it early in the evening to catch a good spot. Once you grab a space to relax this place seems like a great hang out. They serve food, the drinks are modest, the music is cool, and the bar presentation is pleasant. I like the Library Bar but I think I would rather make it in for happy hour, that is if they're open early.

**Do not confuse this place for Library Bar in DTLA. TOTALLY DIFFERENT** With that mentioned, I've been to the Library Bar without even knowing it was called the Library Bar. When entering the Hollywood Roosevelt, this place already has a vintage Harry Potter feel to it. Many may enjoy drinking in the lobby (it's a nice spacious lobby). A bit in the left near corner is another isolated area. This is the Library Bar. The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel seems to be a go-to spot for many gatherings. This single hotel has at least 5 bars contained in it. I've been to several events here and it's always at a different bar in this hotel. The Library Bar is the smallest and most intimate. It's also the most decorated giving the feel of being surrounded by books. On a Thursday night, my group of 6 was the largest group in the bar. At most, there would be maybe 4 or 5 others, but nothing more. Friday and Saturday nights would probably fare differently. I didn't get the same 5-star treatment that the other's touted here. In fact, I didn't exactly get the same level of service either, being failed to be acknowledged at a bar with only 2 people sitting. Shortly thereafter, I would be joined by another in my group to check on what's the hold-up. I cannot deny the experience that others may have had here, but mine was spoiled by a lack of service. The drink that I ended up having was a unique berry based vodka mix, but it was too seedy and not legendary.

We stumbled upon this bar on a Friday evening. When you're inside, you could feel the energy around. Hyperness is everywhere. I swear, you will learn how to forget your problems for a while when you're there. And if you're into fine wines, this is definitely a place to come. I so love their red wine especially melbec. Library bar left an excellent taste in my mouth. The atmosphere is intimate, the lightning is perfect for the mood. Friendly bartenders and staff. Has a good selection of drinks and foods and prices are very reasonable too. I'd definitely stop by again and try other selections of wines and foods the next time I visit L.A. Maybe, this coming April.

The beer selection was pretty legit. Some of the people there... that is a different story, but hey... it's DTLA and full of lawyers and very important people who like to let people know who they are (:-/). Aside from that... good looking bartenders serving up some tasty adult beverages! Dark... very dark and loud... so I am not sure that this is an ideal date spot.

Nice cool vibe. Dj was playing throwback 90's music which was awesome! Drinks are decently priced. The actual "library" part of the place has decent amount of seating too. They also have a daily $7 cocktail which they advertise on their Instagram so follow them if you want to see what the daily cocktail is. Overall, cool place. Probably one of my fave bars in dtla so far. (Haven't been to too many though). It is a little small but I didn't feel too crowded since I got a seat on one of the couches. The bar area looked cramp though.

Nice addition to the downtown bar scene. Great selection of cocktails and beer, a few comfy couches, a ton of dusty old books, and a group of very nice bartenders. Dim lighting, brass details, lots of dark woods, and white tiles. Delicious hors d'oeuvres and an overall friendly environment. Oh and the Sunday night dj plays a bunch of classic hip hop! Very tasteful. Oddly enough, I saw Emmett Smith in here recently. For what is worth, it's cool to see one of the all time NFL greats in person unexpectedly. Maybe this place attracts retired NFL icons? Haha! I'm hoping to meet Barry Sanders next time! Great bar for conversation and a great environment to make new friends.

Ummmm, probably the smallest bar that I have ever been to. Yes, cute decor, but I definitely made a mistake of coming here on a Saturday night. Everyone was packed in like sardines and trying to order a drink or even making your way to the bar was nearly impossible. I'm sure this can be a nice place to grab drinks if you are fortunate to grab yourself a table or seats, but c'mon who really wants to make it to the bar early? The only way you'll get me back here is probably on a weekday ..during happy hour. and that is also partially because I want to try their food haha. Not going to lie, their appetizers spoke to me while I spent half an hour trying to order my one drink...
