TEL meets are informal, regular meetings, arranged to keep you updated on institutional projects and support sharing of practice across the institution.

AMRC are currently recruiting for 2 Learning Technologists, that might be of interest to this community.

The AMRC Training Centre has recently announced a new part-time degree in Manufacturing Technology. This new degree is supported by HEFCE and has been specifically designed as a new pathway to an engineering degree for students who have progressed through the apprenticeship route. The degree will be offered on a part-time basis and is intended for candidates who have passed through an apprenticeship programme and wish to study on a part-time basis while holding a post in manufacturing industry. Industrial experience will be a key part of this course and it is expected that all students will have the strong support and involvement of their employer.

The post-holder will be a key member of the team shaping the BMan/MMan in Manufacturing Technology Engineering and will work closely with academic staff and other Learning Technologists, to inspire change and transform learning and teaching. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player, keen to share ideas and able to work collaboratively through building strong relationships with colleagues. You will apply your experience of using technology to enhance the innovative delivery and adoption of both blended and distance learning. You will act as a source of expertise, offering both pedagogical and technical guidance to users in order to facilitate the use of a wide portfolio of learning.
