Hello All

It was great to meet you all earlier in an informal setting.

We have collated your feedback from the session and placed it on on a Padlet board. Please feel free to add any additional info:

http://padlet.com/farzana_latif/yh0ns43n63vf

Based on this wall, I'll make some suggestions for the next meet, but overall everyone who attended seemed to think it was a good idea to keep these sessions in the diary, moving forward.

Hi Colleagues In case you aren't aware TELfest is taking place  8th - 12th September. During this week long event there are scheduled workshops, panel discussions and drop in sessions.

If you haven't already, I would recommend that you sign up to the MOLE - Looking Ahead, as Blackboard will be there and delivering a listening session (listening to us ;-). You'll be sent a link to ask any questions to Blackboard beforehand.

Another good one to come to is the launch session: A Panel Discussion on the value and impact of learning technologies in Higher Education. Members of the panel will include Professor Anne Peat (PVC in Teaching and Learning).

Book Here:

I'd  appreciate it if you would disseminate this link to academics within your departments and faculties to spread the word.

Making MOLE look beautiful?

Has anyone got some attractive, easy to navigate  MOLE modules that they can share with me?

Technology Enhance Learning Showcase - Call for volunteers

Hi All

We are running a TEL showcase to help disseminate examples of how technology is being used to enhance teaching and learning across the institution. The session will take place during lunchtime, 12-2 and will have a round table format, whereby attendees can rotate around different tables, find out more about different projects and ask questions.

If you would like to share your work or would like to nominate someone then do let me know!

Would you like the opportunity to feed into the future of  MOLE?

Representatives from Blackboard (the technology that MOLE runs on) will be attending the University of Sheffield to run a 'listening' session with staff at our institution (5th May 15, 11-12.30).

This is an opportunity for colleagues that use MOLE as part of their teaching, to offer any feedback and shape the development of it. Share your wish lists and frustrations, the company are keen to hear from our institution.

Following on from the listening session, Blackboard will return to the University and deliver a presentation to you, responding directly to your feedback (26th May 15, 11-12.30).

Key Dates

Listening Session: Tues 5th May 11-12.30
Follow up: Tues 26th May 11-12.30
(NB, It is recommended that you attend both dates)

Sign up now, as places are limited!

Hi All

I just wanted to let you know that I am going to set up a Technology Enhanced Learning Community for staff across the institution to share ideas related to TEL etc. Its a follow up from TELFest and I will be inviting all staff that attended TELFest to it.

It won't replace this community which is aimed at learning technologists, professional staff, innovators and early adopters.

Dear Colleague

I would like to invite you to the Winter Technology Enhanced Learning Festival (TELFest) taking place between 12th - 14th January 2015  in the Hicks Building. The festival has been designed to offer help, guidance and support to anyone at the University of Sheffield who wishes to develop their delivery of teaching.
Sign up to one or more sessions here: https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/cics/telfest

Throughout each day members of the CiCs Technology Enhanced Learning Team will be available(Hicks, LT4) to answer specific questions that you may have or explore ideas with you, no matter how basic or complex they seem (there is no need to sign up for drop in sessions, just turn up).

As well as this, you will find a variety of scheduled workshops and during lunch you can network with colleagues and participate in panel discussions, round table discussions and presentations with colleagues engaged with the use of technology to enhance learning in their practice.

From MOLE, Mobile Learning to MOOCs, the event brings together activities and promotes sharing of practice across the institution.

More Information and sign up for scheduled sessions: https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/cics/telfest

We look forward to seeing you in January!
