So I was browsing the web the other night and I ended up watching this video:
Good times right?
Well after seeing this video, I was curious on what happened to this classic tv series. One wiki search later, I found out that the series had ended in 2006, with reruns in 2009. That show was on for 23 years! (first aired in 1983).
Shocked that on how long the series went, I decided to read a little more. Found out that the host of the show (along with others who made the show) founded the company "RRKIDZ", bought the RR name and made the Reading rainbow app, which is the #1 Recommended educational app in the itunes store (Way to go guys!)
So why am I telling you this? Here's why:

They ended up reaching their goal in 11 hours!
It's good to see an old show (or at least a franchise) is able to adapt to todays online, connected world. It's better than companies assuming what's cool for kids and fail hard.
It's good to know that Reading Rainbow has a great future ahead of them.
Now if you'll exuse me, I have a book to study
