From the Burlington, VT, mineral and fossil show: bird tracks from the Eocene-ish; Humboldt squid beaks (contemporary), $90; beautiful crinoid (Phylum Echinodermata, such as sea lilies) fossil from 300 mya!; various fossil fish (date unlabeled :( but nicely preserved). They had some spinosaurus teeth and some other small bone fragments from dinosaurs. The show was really fun. I hope go visit more of these shows in the future. A fair number of the fossils were from China.

"As for the chemical imbalance theory of depression being a straw man, I still hear it invoked frequently." And...?

Sheesh.

And regarding her stance on mechanism of action, clearly Angell's unfamiliar with the work of James Lind.

Pretty psyched to hit this tomorrow. Not a collector. Anything I should look out for, observation-wise, or otherwise?
