Speed
New Yorkers love to go, go, go, so I have been told. It's quite evident in the short time between one train leaving and another coming; in the way a stranger will stop to help you get up the steps but not to hear your heartfelt thanks; in the honk of a horn...

Red Hook
About once a week, we choose an evening, pile into the car after the girls' dinner, and make a family adventure out of a big ole trip to Fairway. What's Fairway? Oh, just the most gigantic grocery store I believe I've ever seen. It's extensive and elaborate...

We snaked through the Hudson Valley last weekend, over what I call hills, though they are more mountain than anything else I've seen out here. The land rolls up and down, unlike a horizon suddenly interrupted by a majestic rocky formation, and more like the...

Watch Me
It's started to strike me every couple of days in the last few weeks or so, those first terrified moments of feeling like I truly hate this place for just a second; and they are so intense that they move over my body like waves of nausea. Sometimes it's for...

Home, Part 2
I've been on the edge lately. (You know how I get on the edges of things .) I'm completely aware that it's happening, and yet not able (or not willing?) to stop it; and so, it can be a few hours or a few days, or sometimes, sadly, in this case, a few weeks ...

I've had a few moments of missing that little Denver bungalow lately. I miss the old farm sink in the kitchen (that had a garbage disposal!) and washing vegetables that Trevor and the girls had just plucked from out back. I miss the big tree in the front of...

One World Trade Center
On the Fourth of July, we walked along the Hudson, stopped at a playground, and then we made our way to One World Trade Center. It's still "Freedom Tower" in my mind, even though I've been corrected; but names aren't really the important part. Iris had a lo...

A couple of weekends ago, we got it in our heads to go to the beach, as we do . But it was so windy and so freezing, that it really wasn't a workable plan, not to spend more time than it took to walk a few blocks' length bundled in sweaters at least. So we ...

Story
Tagline
I'm a writer and I love it.
Introduction
My name is Sarah Ann Noel. I'm a writer and I love it. Other than that, I'm a lot of things for a girl.

I keep a blog, a collection of stories and essays focusing on a young married life and lessons in love, faith, motherhood, and growth. I like to offer commentary on life and I write from a personal perspective, trying to be thoughtful and honest but in a lighthearted way. Most of what I write is about revelations, sometimes big and sometimes small, but regardless, always a moment I felt needed to be captured and learned from and recorded.

I live in Denver, Colorado with my husband, Trevor, and daughters, Iris and Edith.

When I'm not blogging, I dabble in other writing forms, freelancing to local businesses and magazines; contributing to professional and topical websites; and I'm currently represented to begin my first book, an extension of my blog.
Bragging rights
I married the best one and have the two most beautiful babies in the world.

Can I give a place zero stars? This company is a pyramid of thieves and liars. You think you're paying for services and coverage that don't actually exist. The customer service managers are literally never available. I once had a service rep put me on hold three times to look for a manager and came back the last time saying "I've been to every office in the building and can't find anyone." It took four calls, two filed complaints, and lots of other threats to receive my ID cards and welcome packet due to a "glitch in the system;" and then when I requested to be refunded for the time period where I was unable to use the coverage, they said they would cancel my plan at "no penalty to me," like they themselves knew that NO coverage was better than coverage with them. With the exception of one individual, Alex, who eventually got me my information though had no power to do anything else, all of the people I dealt with at Metroplus were unhelpful and unconcerned that I'm a mom of two toddlers needing insurance information to take them to the doctor. Compared to other plans in the NY State of Health Marketplace, Metroplus's price is right. But trust me when I say, you get get what you pay for? Except for the level of service Metroplus offers, you're still overpaying.

Yoga Loft Hawaii is such a beautiful, peaceful studio. The instructors are the best and really know what they're doing. Highly recommended!

I was terribly behind on my Aussie's vaccinations and wanted to get him in as quickly as possible. The people at VetCare could not have been kinder, more understanding, more efficient, or more professional. They put both me and Roscoe (a normally nervous-type pup!) right at ease. Don't be fooled by the location or outside of the building! The staff is impeccable, the prices reasonable. They are exactly what I was looking for in a new vet.
