Hydrogen Sorption by Carbon Nanostructured Materials

The ability to use #carbon-containing #nanostructured systems for hydrogen storage has been evaluated. For considered systems, the limit of sorption capacity of #hydrogen for the chemical and physical nature of the #sorption, have been calculated. The results of the #theoretical calculations showed the possibility and prospects for the use of hydrogen storage systems.

FLEXURAL BEHAVIOUR OF FERRO CEMENT SLAB PANELS USING
CARBON FIBERS

Ferro cement is one of the earliest versions of reinforced concrete. In this, an attempt has been made to find out the flexural behavior of Ferro cement experimentally and analytically. The #slab panels of size (700 mm × 600 mm) with a thickness of 30 mm were casted with a cement #motor of mix proportion (1:2) and the #water-cement ratio of 0.40. Some #panels were casted with #carbonfibers of 1% of total volume cement. The variation is shown by increasing the mesh layer and addition of the carbon fibers. The slab panels are tested under the two point loading system after curing period. The analysis is carried out by ansys R15.0 software and comparison of results has been done.

BEHAVIOR OF CONVENTIONAL CONCRETE INCORPORATING CLASS F-FLY ASH AND RECYCLED AGGREGATES

Varieties of #wastematerials are produced from construction industries, #thermal power generating factories etc., impacts and pollute environment. The bulk of this waste remains unutilized. There is increasing shortage of #building materials which can be met by producing durable alternative from these wastes. The purpose of this study is based on the investigation of conventional #concrete incorporating with class F-fly ash and recycled #aggregates to reduce the use of cement and natural aggregates need.

STUDY THE MODULUS ELASTICITY OF HFRC

This paper research and experimental investigation carried out on hybrid fiber reinforced concrete (combination of hooked end steel fiber and polyolefin) with a volume fraction of 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% which was prepared using normal mixing, compaction and curing conditions. Here the #cylindrical specimen with a diameter of 150 mm and height of 300 mm was casted. The experiment shows the modulus elasticity of samples increase with the amount of steel fibers in the concrete mix. #Steel fiber and #polyolefin fiber are used as #Hybrid fibers. Tested were conducted to study the effect of steel fiber and #polyolefinfiber in different proportions in hardened #concrete.

Neutronic Properties Optimization Of The Irt-T Reactor Core

TResearch results of #IRTT reactor core modernization ways are shown in this article. This work describes current characteristics of reactor core and experimental facilities. Some possible ways of altering the configuration of the core during modernization are presented. For every variant of layout length of #cycle and non-uniformity factors for energy release in reactor core were calculated. Alternative layout of reactor core which allows creating additional experimental #channel near the lower border of the reflector with the same characteristics of thermal and fast #neutron flux as in HEC-4.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE DUCTILITY BEHAVIOUR OF E-WASTE CONCRETE

The utilisation of the waste generated from the #electronic devices adds sustainability for the #environment. This study generates a path to find the efficient methods to #reutilize the electronic waste in place of the conventional building materials. This paper reports the ductile #behaviour of the concrete with E-waste as a partial replacement of fine aggregate due to its compatibility. The percentage of E-waste replacement is 5%, 10%, 15% 20% of the fine aggregate.

Red mud is the waste product generated by bayer’s process in the aluminium industry. Extraction of aluminium from bauxite is called as #bayer’s process. Enormous quantity of red #mud is generated worldwide every year posing a very serious #environmental problem. Further, disposal of large quantities of #red mud dumped, poses increasing problems of storage occupying a lot of space. Operation of Radiation Portal Monitors of Special Nuclear Materials At Nuclear Sites in Terms Of Reliability

Two often used #operationalalgorithms of radiation portal monitors are reviewed taking into account specific conditions of #physicalprotectionsystems at nuclear sites. Reliability parameters such as probability of no failure and false alarm rate of both types of radiation portal monitors are evaluated.
