My day at LFCC 2014 was so awesome, I can't even believe it.
I was lucky enough to get in a great spot in the queue to see Stan Lee first thing. I met lovely people while queuing, too. I got a good ticket number for Stan Lee, too.
I got to meet Curtis Armstrong (who played Metatron in the last season of Supernatural!) He was so nice and lovely to talk to.
Then I got in as one of the last people to meet Stan Lee before noon. Well, when I say meet... he just basically signed non-stop, didn't even look up.
Then I did some "not queuing" for Sherlock, as they weren't going to let us queue. After an hour of "not queuing" very orderly ;) I got a seat right on the middle aisle in the third row. Sadly, they didn't reveal anything about SherlockCon, even though they said they would. My raffle ticket didn't win to get a signature of the panel, but a father and daughter sitting in front of me gave me one! So I got a signature from Sue Vertue as well!
I had so much fun, even though I now have to go to work. This Con is really much better than MCM!
Now I am off to work until midnight!

My bustle skirt is coming along. The needles are in place until I hand stitch the last bustles. Now, the question of all questions: Does this skirt need beads?

LEVAN, the Computer Program That Aims to Teach Itself Everything About Anything

http://levan.cs.uw.edu

Computer scientists from the University of Washington and the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Seattle have created the first fully automated computer program that teaches everything there is to know about any visual concept.

You quoted my favorite line from Game of Thrones and added a pic to make it even more awesome. Now, if you haven't (or even if you have) go watch the episode from Babylon 5 called "And the Rock Cried Out No Hiding Place" (season 3 I gather).  For my mind, this was where the show went from excellent to fucking awesome.

Got 100 steps to go, tonight I'll make it 99.
Introduction
Hello everybody who found their way to this page.

I got into the Google+ Beta by chance (you know how it is: the friend of a friend knew a friend that had connections to this one guy getting an invite.) and have been hooked ever since. I watched it become the second reddit, then a Photographers Portal and a Musicians Hangout and now it is all of it and so much more. I just love it.

Which circle do I belong in?

I share interesting stuff I come across on the internet, insight on my research in the field of Japan and all the other stuff I feel somebody would find interesting. Most of the time, it is funny and/or geeky stuff. And I share stories about my life in Japan or my new life in London.

I love to look at good photography, my own skill level is sadly somewhere between noob with a digital camera and what ins god's name was she thinking, but I am always open for critique and suggestions. I love to see geeky stuff, humor, anime and manga related things, Japan related things and all that.

Also, I sing, write short stories and love to play adventure games. But this is all more of a normal hobby, I guess.

I did simultanious interpreting for a Southafrican-German wedding :)
