I became a fan of the early days of Ziebart when all that was offered was a heavy thick tar substance. Living in Florida it sure helped keep the rust from forming around the doors, finder wells and so on. They had a problem then which has been rectified. The coating was so thick and stayed tacky. Mechanics would charge extra labor when working under a car that had been undercoated by Ziebart. It is a new era and the materials used today still hold up to the harsh conditions of the north and it's salted roads (yes I moved to Ohio). Now they also offer a wide variety of protection for your car. From car alarms, sound systems and to me the star of the show their Diamond Gloss finish is a must have on any new vehicle. I had it put on a 2004 Honda Accord and when we traded it in the paint job looked better than the new cars on the lot. Like I stated earlier they have services that help keep it's appearance looking great for years to come.

Called to make an appointment for my 1 year rustproofing checkup. The person on the phone was so nasty I called back to cancel my appointment. Going to try another location. They're apparently busy enough they don't have to worry about customer satisfaction, so I'll leave them to it then...

I took my car in to get the annual maintenance done on it, while it was in the shop I thought I'd have them look into tinting the windows and cleaning the interior for me. After a previous visit the year before, I was also informed they would take care of using my touch up paint on any nicks in the paint. Sounded like a pretty nice deal. When I picked up the car, the touch ups weren't done, there were still stains in the front passenger side seat, they didn't clean the steering wheel, and informed me at checkout that the tints took me over the legal limit. When the tints were sold to me that morning I wasn't informed of anything regarding this beyond the 35% tint being the most popular. I called them the next day to inform them of my complaints and they asked that I drop it off again for them to redo the work. They also agreed to redo the tints on the front windows so it was down to the legal limit. I dropped the car off for them to redo the work early in the morning that day. When I picked up the car, they had still missed the stains and not cleaned the wheel, there was also some kind of goop left behind that had dribbled between the door and the frame that is normally sprayed inside the door for rust protection. They only cleaned these things up after I had pointed out each problem a second time in person. They did use the touch up paint, albeit a bit excessively on some of the nicks. I know they aren't a paint shop but I was kind of surprised that they would claim to take care of this kind of stuff and then do such a poor job at it. I could have done better myself with some model paint brushes. Had I known before hand that they don't do touch up paint very well I would have done it myself. Now I have a nickel - quarter sized square painted on the front of my car where I probably could have just touched up a few nicks. They tell you to not roll your windows down for at least three days from window tinting. I followed these instructions and on the fourth day rolled my rear windows down. I noticed a small bubble in the window where the tint film had pulled free, this is covered under their warranty so I took it back in again to have them clear this up. They took care of it no questions asked. Although they did run into additional problems getting the window tint to sit on that window and it took them longer than quoted, they did get the job done. It would have been nice if they could have cleaned up the wet soap from the inside and wiped off the residue left behind on the outside. After this I'm probably never going to a Ziebart again, for a bunch of guys that do detailing and cleaning you'd think they would notice these things a bit more. If you do decide to get work done by them, check every single thing before leaving the lot because it might save you a trip, or three in my case.

Got the Ziebart Gold treatment on my new Kia Soul. The car came back amazing! Perfectly detailed and the diamond gloss looks fantastic. Lifetime guarantee on rust is great too!
