Mercury Transit 2016

These are my best two of the day...

First one through a 300mm lens with Baader solar filter. 1/800s at ISO 200.

The other one through a PST, eyepiece projection with a 12.5mm e.p. 1/80s at ISO 400. Scaled down to about 20%.

The Ring Nebula - M57

Tried to image Saturn last night but it was too low to get anything decent, so I had a go at M57, which was right overhead.

150mm f/5 Newtonian, with DSLR at prime focus. 90 x 30 second exposures at ISO 6400. Stacked in GCX and post processed (reduce light pollution, adjust levels and crop at 1:1 scale) in the GIMP.
