Everything was well executed, and can't find anything wrong. However, my experience wasn't as memorable in taste, presentation, and detailed service as other Michelin 3-star restaurants. It's a 2-Plus star for me.

Wow! Everything was amazing. We loved the presentation - our dinner began with a hollow log that hid a fantastically crisp quinoa cracker with fennel goat cheese, a date, and sugar-encrusted plantain. Other high points were the smoked cod that was served in a glass with a foil cover which our waiter encouraged us to lick after opening - it was cool to see the smoke rising from the cup. It reminded me of La Urbana in San Francisco. The lamb was my husband's favorite - delicate with the sauce and the artichoke. We were both surprised how wonderful the sweetbreads were. And the big discovery on the Flora menu were the green strawberries - they were complex with the sesame and the kaffir lime. We were so enraptured with our dinner that we ordered the risotto with Australian black truffles and it was fantastic. There isn't enough time or space to describe all the wonderful flavors this foodie event entailed. I loved the way the server handed me the dragon fruit that held my first dessert. We had a nice California pinot noir that complemented our meal thanks to the sommelier. It was an extraordinary dining experience and the service was excellent. It was pricey, but worth it on my husband's birthday.

This was easily the best dining experience I have ever had - ever. We went relatively early into Grace's time in Chicago, but even given its recency, the menus and staff were on point. I went with the vegetarian-centric meal, and while I'm definitely a meat eater everywhere else, I didn't miss meat at all for this meal. We also went with the wine pairing, which was predictably incredible. Service was incredibly high quality, and we loved the kitchen tour and cell phone table pillows. Save this one for a really special event - it'll be worth every dollar.

Grace was an exceptional dining experience. I am not one to get online and review companies good or bad, but felt the need to do so in this situation. We live in a time where amazing customer service is out the door and Grace restaurant is the epitome of a phenomenal experience from top to bottom. We had to cancel our original reservation due to family emergency. Michael Muser personally called me and insisted we dine with them on another date. When we finally made it into Grace a month later, we had the most amazing time. Everything about the experience was perfect. The ambiance was beautiful--chic mod, but cozy. The service was perfect, the pairings were so interesting and very thoughtful. And the meal was out of this world. Each course was an artful masterpiece that was delicious and beautiful! After the meal Mr Muser introduced us to the incredible Chef Curtis Duffy and gave us a private tour of the kitchen and restaurant and explained his passion for food, wine, and service. He took us into the wine cellar and showed us the staff area. As a small business owner myself, I have a huge appreciation for what they are doing, and how they are accomplishing it at Grace. I wish them nothing less than 3 stars this November! My favorite thing that I saw was one word: CONSISTENCY written in bold, black dry erase marker in the kitchen. I believe that Grace does achieve consistency in its service, food preparation, wine pairings and ambiance. What an experience! Thank you!!

What a wonderful Tuesday night I had celebrating my dad's 60th birthday with my parents. The restaurant is very sleek and modern, and the staff is extremely friendly, but not snobby. As soon as we were seated, we were greeted with menus that had a personalized message for my dad. We opted out of the wine pairings because my parents don't drink that much and I had to work the next day (quite frankly, I don't like to drink alone). We chose an amazing bottle of Pinot Noir, instead. We all decided to go with the Fauna menu, with my mom replacing her beef dish and all of us replacing our sweetbreads dish. Everything was delicious! So beautiful and creative, to the mouth and the eyes. I liked the special touch of bread pairings with the 9 course meal, however, I eventually had to stop eating the warm, gooey breads because I was getting too full. Some of the standout dishes for me included the Caviar Custard, Scallop, Duck, Truffle (swapped from Flora), Beef and the non-chocolate dessert. But honestly, everything was SO good, I can't say I had a 'favorite.' After dinner, we took a tour of the kitchen and met Chef Duffy on our way out. Everything from start to finish was lovely. We found out they change the menu seasonally -- I'll definitely come back at some point to see what they come up with next. This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just splurge on a wonderful meal.
