#sxsw2013 had more of a social innovation presence this year and we were proud to be a big part of it.  Check out the whole event on the website.  Fun facts, we trended to the number two spot on Twitter under #SXSW, had over 2200 live viewers, close to 1k attendees, and have had almost 20k views in a day!  Best part of the whole event, people that are leading change connected and inspired to drive action forward more than ever before.  Can't wait to hear (and tell) the stories of what came out of the event next year :-)

Are you doing good in the world?  Share your stories, successes, failures, calls to action, or anything that can help inspire others to create positive change in the world.

Well our panel finished great!  We dug deep into the current state of STEM Education for kids and what our panelists are each doing to try and fix the issues.  If you missed the live panel, you can catch it here or on Education through Entertainment: STEM and Sustainability

We didn't get as far into sustainability as we would have liked, but there is way more to come in the future!

Thanks to all involved!

Educating Through Entertainment: Sustainability & STEM
Our nation's school system is broken. Our schools are not educating children in critical areas such as Science, Technology, Engineering & Medicine (STEM) at the level many other countries around the world are providing to their future leaders. Teachers may have their hands tied when it comes to what they are teaching due to standardized testing, working on a meager salaries and with small budgets, and teaching from substandard or disengaging text books. However, our panelists are providing study material, programming and outreach programs that are getting kids excited about learning again. Each of these panelists and their organizations are also helping parents do their part to ensure their children will play a role in leading tomorrow's economy and innovation while living a sustainable lifestyle.
