This is a nice reference link I'll add to the site. I recommend it because on the left side of its page is a "mortality counter," to see the estimated number of red wolves and how many have been killed this year. I'll keep it available for everyone for quick reference. Hoping the numbers never see another increase.

Hello guys, I saw this a little earlier. Apparently, these red wolf pups were born at a zoo in California. The zoo has a red wolf recovery program and hope these pups will help a lot with it. This article did not provide much info, but after some digging, I found that the pups are part of the Species Survival Plan or SSP. The SSP is basically plan to help raise and breed red wolves in captivity. While this is a great program, and I hope it continues to strengthen red wolf populations, I also hope that in the future we will come to a point where we don't need to raise them in captivity and there will be greater general protection of them in the wild. More to come.
