I ordered steak and unequivocally valued it. It was very tender and saturated in wonderful sauce. The decoration was also very enjoyable, Stylish but comfortable. I went with my close relatives for their 30th anniversary and they gave us a plate at the end with "Happy 30th Anniversary" written in chocolate--What a sweet touch. Overall I would only endorse this place for very special occasions as the food is quite expensive...but very worthy.

ame here the other day for our holiday party and I gotta say it was a nice experience! I can't comment on the price, but service and food was exceptional! We had the whole outdoor patio to ourselves and the staff was kind enough to light up all the heaters to keep us warm and cozy while we mingled in the company of passed small bites and glasses of wine. I wasn't that fond of the small bite that contained the raw scallop sandwiched between two crunchy chips. The sweet potato ravioli was a better alternative. For the meal, we started off with a salad that was lightly dressed in vinaigrette. Personally, I would have prefered a tad bit more dressing to give it some more flavor to mask the true flavor of the greens and carrots. For the main course, I ordered the Shortrib. It was nice and flavorful and you can definitely eat it without a knife. I would, however, prefer a bit more of the mashed potatoes than what they had included with the dish. The amount that was included was only about a spoonful's worth. Dessert was nice and light with ice cream that's light and fluffy served with some sliced persimmons and syrup. Having it shaped like a marshmallow and served on a plate does make it hard to scoop up each time. Nevertheless, I still finished that place cleaned! Location, location, location! The restaurant is situated in the same building as the Disney Concert Hall. Needless to say, it's a great location right across from MOCA, and close to the Music Center. I definitely will consider coming back for a special occasion. Valet Parking is available in the front of the restaurant for $8.

Kevin and his team do know how to take care of people! Booked a table for a business dinner, the 3 course menu is more than enough (and I am quite an eater). Remarkable service and excellent cuisine, executed to perfection (remarkable the egg, the langoustine with bone marrow, red snapper & suckling pi) . Superb wine list at quite steep prices (BYO accepted with a 30 USD cork fee). Will certainly go back next time I visit LA

Food was good, but customer service could have been better

Absolutely wonderful food and even better service. The portions seem to be based on a European diet (or that of any other diet, but not American). The flavors and presentation more than made up for it though. Who wants to go into a food coma during an LA Phil concert, anyway?

Patina is a perfect spot for a nice dinner if you're going to one of the theaters in DTLA (ie. Ahmanson). You're already dressed up so why not spoil yourself with fine dining. We went with the 5 course tasting menu ($45 per person) and we added an order of their PEACH SALAD ($15) which the waiter RAVED about. It was VERY GOOD and they will happily split it for two if you ask them. Since there were two of us we each got a different dish per course and below are the winners. FIRST - "Chips and Dip" - the salmon chicharronnes (fried skin) went really well dipped in the avocado mousse. SECOND - White Corn Agnolotti - only dish in the second course WITH BACON, you gotta go for it! THIRD - Black Sea Bass - good quality fish FOURTH - Braised Pork Belly - MUST ORDER FIFTH - We passed on the dessert and just got cheese. They have a GREAT SELECTION of CHEESE! House sparkling wine was $12 a glass, which was pretty good and their creative cocktails were $15 each. Ambiance was fancy but not stuffy and the SERVICE was TOP NOTCH!

dissapointed... went for dinner there on a thurs night w my husband. while the interior was very hip and modern, the feel of the restaurant was quite pretencious. i never return the food nor complain to thrme server. the portion was small, im sure the drinks are decent but we're both giving up on etoh so we didnt have any. we skipped dessert.
