Stop in for lunch. Had a great lobster bisque! The service was very friendly. Will stop there again when in town.

3 of us went in and only 1 meal was prepared correctly. Ordered grilled lobster got boiled lobster. Sent it back where it sat for 15 minutes to be prepared correctly and they took the boiled lobster and grilled it - ended up coming back burnt and lobster soup as water gushed out when I when to eat it. One person had overcooked meat and it went back. When a new meal was brought, the meat was undercooked and they served the same veggies that were on the original plate. Drinks were over priced, service was slow - only 2 waitresses and the bartender. No manager on duty to complain to and had to wait for the manager to call back as that was the only way to reach him/her. Not sure if he/she ever did. Misled on size of $24.00 ribeye. Won't go back again.

I hate writing reviews that bash a place, but this was a bad experience overall. Went in for lunch with my girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon. Place was about half full. Only one waitress and one bar tender in the whole place...which wasn't really a problem as it wasn't packed. However, after being sat we overheard the one waitress mention to a few tables around us that she wasn't really "working" but she could take their orders. Not sure what that was supposed to accomplish besides making the customers feel bad for her or basically feel un-welcomed. She said the same thing to us when she took our order. Not necessary. Then the burger comes and it's awful. Like, I have pretty low standards when it comes to something like a cheeseburger in a bar during the day. I know it's not going to be gourmet, but I'm telling you it made me sick. So soaked in grease that the stale bun couldn't even keep the sandwich together. Both my girlfriend and I were sick for hours after. Not food poisoning sick, but just felt ill. Can't recall what she ordered but neither of us finished more than half. Unfortunately this place doesn't live up to the cool city it occupies. :-(

Old Port Tavern gets mixed reviews from me. The service was good, but slow, and we and one other couple were the only customers. The onion rings were excellent, and obviously home made. I don't recommend the lobster Philly steak. I was curious about it, and it was their special; a Philly steak sandwich with lobster on it. It turns out it wasn't a good combination. The cheese on the Philly steak ruined the lobster. Everything tasted like the cheese.

Went there tonight. It was raining and this looked like the spot to get into out of the rain. First clue this was not the place to be, only four people at the bar on a Friday night @ 6:30. Into the dining room, only six other patrons. Should have left at that point as that was a bad sign. Got the menu, and was definitely not ordering any of the steak or fish specials. Ordered a sandwich. Could see the cooks from my table. Neither of them wearing gloves. That didn't bother me to much until I saw the cook put his hand into the potatoe chip bag and place the chips on yuo guesed it, my sandwich plate. The sandwich, medoicre at best and I did"nt eat the chips. And if this weren't enough, the waitress acted like we were bothering her just to be there. A real tourist trap.
