The installation “Foil” – created by Layer and commissioned by Braun – lends the Tapestry Gallery in the Victoria and Albert Museum, which is designed to protect and exhibit old, culturally significant woven art pieces, a completely new feel.

“Where We Met” by Studio Echelman & Focus Lighting is installed in LeBauer Park in Greensboro and is made of over 20 kilometres of dyed threads tied together in 242,800 knots. After dark, when light is added in the form of LED luminaires, the installation develops new and highly impressive qualities.

La Semilla at the entrance to Arena Monterrey in Monterrey/MEX
During the day, the reflective seed provokes curiosity and adds interest to the public space. At night, it blossoms into petals of light.

“Light Sculpture of Flames” in Menlo Park/USA
This artwork uses accumulated point light sources to create a sculptural body, similar to the way distinct dots of colour form an image in a pointillist painting in which small, distinct dots of colour are applied in patterns to form an image.

Orbit Pavilion
Everything revolves around the viewer, like planet earth: surrounded by orbiting satellites and lighting effects, and swathed in fog.The pavilion is currently housed at the space agency’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
