Like a morning show, only interesting. And at night. Interviews, news, geek science, nerd rage, and absolute zero tolerance for protecting the right to be stupid.

Sometimes what you need is a good old Descent 3 versus Sublevel Zero trailer fight.

What, you don't recall Descent 3? Then you're in for a treat.

Since D&D Next Basic has seen air, I figured I needed to do a page-by-page, pseudo-liveblogging of my reaction to reading the whole thing, which pretty much took me all day.

No points for trying to figure out my final take on it.

The time has come for many things, but primarily this week's Video Game Reviews and More. While we don't have E3 to help us out with great content, we do have The Steam Summer Sale to take all our money and leave us largely destitute on the side of the road.

Seriously, these sales are killing me.

I do manage to talk about a few of them and a couple other things that are going on in the world that you might want to know about.

All that and more coming at you tonight after the season premiere of True Blood on HBO. Because sooner or later, someone is going to kill that bitch Sookie Stackhouse. And I'm going to be there to enjoy it.

What we have here is a fine example of people communicating. With shotguns. And sometimes being thrown completely onto the ground. That said, After the Horsemen had a great little intro with our team of intrepid drivers getting bushwhacked in the middle of of town by a pissed off 16-year-old girl, a 21-year-old young lady, and a 45-year-old guy who realized that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time entirely too late.

And then the entire team murdered them in cold blood. Well, okay, to be fair – it was "self-defense." And 3 of us were almost dead in the first 5 seconds. Thank you Star Power.

Which sets us up neatly for Saturday, where the wasteland around Quit will be poked, prodded, and probably turn up something incredibly dangerous. But stay tuned to the Community for that Event to be posted.

Wednesday, I'll go through the After the Fight stage of things and will see if anybody qualifies for an increase in Reputation or Skill.

How can this possibly go wrong?

This week's video game review notes are short, sweet, and mildly peanut-flavored.

And cheap! As always, we're giving you the low-cost alternatives to $60 AAA titles you'll be bored with in a month. After all, at $1.41, you can afford to be bored in a month ... and it's gravy if you're not.
