As an early newsvine user I felt like that policy was really going to set them apart - and it did, to an extent - but as traffic to the site went up exponentially earnings went way down. I'd be really curious to see how the top earners there are doing these days.
Also, I really like Lendle in theory, but I hate that of the 26 books I've bought and own not a single one is lendable. What determines that?
Jeff Croft: The publishers decide if they are going to allow lending for their books, or not. Currently, about 59% of Kindle books are lendable, but that definitely does not include a lot of best-sellers and new stuff.
