Fiction writing is my heart throb, and I'm active in the experiment-at-the-edge for new ways to deliver stories to readers. Other than that, I'm concerned with local community, especially finding ways to help people connect to meet their dreams. One of my lifelong interests is the creative use of whatever is handy. I believe we can use what's available around us, especially in the
landfill and our attics, to re-create a more viable, vibrant, playful
and richly accessible world. That translates to reclamation arts, and is always core to my work in the community.
With my user group, Bay Area Bloggers Society, I seek to get people connected and visible using web tools and in-person vehicles. I often speak to community groups about the practical use of tech tools to connect and market.
I represent the U.S. blogging community at IVLP, a project of the State Department, speaking with delegates who visit the U.S. to explore new media. These talks have led to collaboration with leaders of QQ and Tianya in China to create cultural bridges through the arts and digital tools.
