My understanding is that Qi Thai had a fairly extensive makeover recently. The space is sleek and modern, and nicer than its sign on 14th Street might lead you to believe. Food is delicious: pumpkin curry is fresh, flavorful, and moderately spicy; curry noodles are spot on. Cocktails are decent and prices are fair. Service is attentive without being overbearing. A terrific little place.

Go here for Lunch. Their lunch menu is extremely affordable and delicious too. I love their Pineapple fried rice. It's my favorite dish. I have't tried their cocktails, but the drink menu seems interesting. The decor is really nice too. It's all white, and they have a grand crystal chandelier, which really adds to the ambiance. It's a cool place to go for a date, or lunch/dinner with a friend,

Consistently good thai food right outside union square. Like most thai places in the area, they serve low priced lunch specials with your choice of appetizer or entree. They have large communal tables, so if you are a stickler for having your own table it is best to eat elsewhere. The constantly poor water, which is good, because they can really crank up the heat on some of their dishes.

I LOVE this place! Delicious american-style thai (you know, greasey sweet phad thai) and tasty thai iced tea too. if you're looking for lunch in the area they have a great deal for the lunch menu - try the veggie dumplings (green and super tasty too!). also it's decorated all in tiny ships and abacuses!

I love most of the food at Qi (both locations, Time Square and Union Square). I prefer the ambiance in the Union Square as it is more relaxed and less noisy than the Time Square location so you can have a conversation. Both food and drinks are great!

Vibrant asian food, but bring a cushion for your tushie because the plastic stools are not friendly to your rear end, and certainly do not encourage lingering. The noise level is close to deafening, even when the restaurant is not full. The discomfort might be trumped by the tasty and healthy cuisine, but you have to be in the mood to suffer.
