We were treated to the customer support call from hell earlier this month when a couple of well-connected bloggers taped their call to Comcast attempting to disconnect from the service and posted it online. Apparently there has been a sequel. The clear lesson -- particularly from the second call -- is that if you talk to Comcast support you need to record the call if you don't want to get screwed.

Door-to-door salesman was flat-out dishonest. I opened the door, and he asked, "are you the owner of the house?" I responded, "Who are you?" He dropped a name that might have belonged to a neighbor and then launched into some vague double-talk about free solar panels, frequently mentioning Edison as though to suggest he represented the utility company -- even though he was wearing a shirt with the Vivint logo on it. I asked if he was with a private company, and he said "No." He then asked to come inside to "jot down some information" that would be needed to see if our house qualified for the free solar panels Edison apparently is handing out like hotcakes in my neighborhood. Needless to say, I did not admit him.
